Welp..I'm finally starting to actually post here...n' stuff. Anyway, I finally loaded up an Avatar....so, how is it?

50 bonus points to whom can guess who that character is, & from what series! I did cover his face w/ photoshop, but anyone who's seen the series, or read the series he's from, should still clearly know who it is...

BTW-- I am drooling over the inevitable release of the R1 DVD of the Adolescence Utena movie in October. It looks like there's a lot of goodies to be had in this release!

Uhhh, I don't know if you have, but I actually got to see that Utena movie..(I have a friend who, I guess, gets ahold of "illegal" subtitled copies of anime, before they hit America?) ...I wouldn't say the movie is anything to get to excited over. It is really good..till..the end..but even so, the end is pretty nice. But it's all just...not up to par with the series or manga...

oh well. I'll probably still buy it. I kinda like the american dub-over voices.

I've seen parts of it, and I'm not expecting a "story." I'm expecting David Lynch-style nonsense, coupled with fantastic visuals, which is what this movie's got. People who didn't like this film seem to have been looking for some semblance of logic. Utena doesn't play with logic--it's like some fever dream, and always has been.
