Howdy,
Two big big big things on the list for August (beyond my subscriptions and stuff):
1. Epicurus the Sage TPB. Terrific artwork by Sam Kieth and a hilariously funny story by William Messner-Loebs. I have 2 of the 3 old books from Piranha Press and they're a scream. A definite thumbs up from me if you're in the mood for something more offbeat that doesn't involve people in spandex and leather, and more fun than a barrel of monkeys on nitrous oxide!
2. Sandman: Endless Nights HC. It's Neil Gaiman. That's all I need to know.
Depending on how the month goes, I may also grab the first TPB of The Maxx or the new Spirit Archive edition. That new series by Keith Giffen and Colleen Doran looks kind of interesting, too.

Batman/Superman #1 sounds very interesting.
Ed McGuinesses covers are both looking great.
But I as Batman fan would like to get the cover with the big Batman and small Superman.
But I have not enough money to get two issues of #1 to be shure to get the one with Bats:(
I don't like the 50/50 per order thing.
It was the same with last months Teen Titans #1 where I want the cover by Michael Turner(I am a huge fan of his art)
But now only can hope to get my favoriet cover.
Why can't they make different orders:(
But here are the comics I am going to buy in August:
SUPERMAN/BATMAN #1 - Jeph Loeb is a great writer and I love the arts by McGuiness
BATMAN #618 - Batman vs. Hush the final of the amazing storyline by Loeb/Lee
ARKHAM ASYLUM: LIVING HELL #4 (of 6) - Sounds cool
BATMAN ADVENTURES #5 - Deadshot in the animated universe :)
BIRDS OF PREY #58 - Ed Benes draw so great
JLA #84 - The story sounds good
OUTSIDERS #3 - Cool series
TEEN TITANS #2 - Cool series too
And maybe:
JUSTICE LEAGUE ADVENTURES #22 -Art by John Delaney :)
BATMAN: HONG KONG HC looks and sounds very cool, but I don't have the money for it :(

Do we really need to know who killed Bruce Wayne's parents?

^Hey, as long as it's a good and powerful story, I'll like it.

Do we really need to know who killed Bruce Wayne's parents?
Didn't they already do that in Year Two?

All I know is that it was Joe Chill...then it wasn't...and as far as I know now, there has been no name officially given to the killer...
