This week we close the book on season 2 and enter the third season, also the shortest season. tonight we see how many penis jokes the writers can pack into 22 minutes.
5/18 - "And the Wiener Is..." [2ACX22]
5/19 - "Emission Impossible" [3ACX01]
5/20 - "The Kiss Seen Round the World" [3ACX02]
5/21 - "Brian Wallows and Peter's Swallows" [3ACX03]
5/22 - "Mr. Saturday Knight" [3ACX04]
If we're lucky, we'll see the scene that FOX altered in Wednesday's episode unedited. (it happened once ;) )

And The Flag Waves Over the Wang in the Family Guy Episode Review of "And The Weiner Is..."
A lot of funny in this episode, like Lois imitating that figure skater "that got what's coming to her", Quagmire figure skating a pair of boobies, Joe being able to walk and then his son Kevin ruining it, and then Stewie pulling out that snow gun and hit Brian, Meg trying out for Cheerleading and then being rejected like Peter Rabbit, Quagmire being dragged into the fight ("Did I just get laided?") Peter and Chris doing Magic tricks ("Oh yeah, I got you're face), Peter giving Joe a training bra to Joe, Rudolph at the doctor ("You mean a magical Christmas tumor?"), Stewie and Brian laughing at Meg, Peter falling with all that stuff on his head, Niel smoking a corn cob pipe, talking about feeding the science club, Stewie smoking cold air ("Freezing my nips off here."), those popular kids dropping meat on her then Peter throwing a hot dog at her, Peter trying to pretend he's at the office when he's in the kitchen and calling himself the "White Larry Bird" and his discovery of Chris's large P****. The second act processed nicley, with Peter thinking Lois is thinking about Chris then showing it to Lois, Peter drinking all that milk, then Stewie throwing the meat at Megan and then talking about being cool and then singing Rocketman (went on for a little too long though) Megan spending the night with Mr Buller who turns out to be a vampire, Peter trying to show off by putting Stewie in his pants, and then buying a very long car and being laughed at by those Supermodels when the truck ran into her, and Lois' plan to have Meg exact those revenge, and then joining the gun club (which had a blind guy and Darth Vader in it) Peter Talking about whose the big man and Brian said Velvet Rope Janet Jackson, Lois getting the blueprints by just asking for them and dating the singer from Whitesnake, the NGA's gun saftey video saying you should introduce guns as quickly as possible ("Guns are good. Did you know Jesus and Moes used them to defeat the Romans?") Peter writing his name in the snow with his gun, the deer on the snowmobile, Playing 7 minutes in heaven and having Meg kiss a pig, and then Quagmire coming to the party ("Giggadigiggadigigaadi"), Peter's life flashing before his life, Chris getting rid of the Bear through talking about the FOX's special ("Stay tune for Ally Mc Beal" and then the Bear running off) and realizing his dad's name is Peter and them laughing about it. A pretty good episode with a lot of moments (note on the fact I only really mention said moments. Well that's just the way Family Guy Works).

That was a good one. Don't feel like reviewing much right now, so I'll just say a few of my fav jokes: Rudolph's tumor, Quagmire at the girl's party, Stewie's behavior throughout the whole episode (especially good Stewie episode), and a bunch of other things DianaGohan mentioned.
Once again, FG's biggest problem is apparent: Stewie's rocketman thing started off not good and stayed there.
But the episode more than made up for that one bad part. :)
I laughed. Alot, and DianaGohan person? You sure do remember alot. "No wonder he slouches." or something like that. regardless, it was funny. The car thing was funny too.

Well that's one of the problems when you parody something that wasn't that great to begin with. What was William Shatner thinking?

Funny Moments
-Rudolph's Christmas Tumor
-Stewie being "cool" (but it did go on too long)
-Peter realizing the area which Chris surpassed him in
-Peter accusing Lois of thinking about Chris in bed
-Quagmire turning Lois' figure 8 into a pair of breasts
-Meg joining the Flag Squad
-Lois trying to get back at the cheerleaders and jocks for Meg
-Brian and Stewie making fun of Meg joining the Flag Squad
-Entire sequence of Peter's life flashing before his eyes (especially the "repeating fourth grade" bit)
-the Snowmobile/Deer tracks
-the NGA video
-Quagmire showing up at cheerleader party
-Peter shooting darts with Andy Capp (plus the wife beating him up in a fight cloud which Quagmire gets sucked into and gets spat back out saying "Did I just get laid?")
-Peter throwing his hot dog at Meg when she was pelted by meat from the popular kids ("Boy, kids sure know how to celebrate these days!")
-Joe temporarily walking again
...and probably more I'm forgetting. What a hilarious show.

On the contrary, I thought Stewie's Rocket Man parody was the funniest part of the show, excluding Rudolph's tumor. The inane penis jokes get tiresome, if you ask me.

For Your Next Assigment, You are to watch the Family Guy Episode Review of "Emission Impossible". This review will start in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...
A nice episode (that I never saw) which had a lot of good mometns, like Stewie drinking Sunnie Dee, and The Smurfs Parody ("Smurf Yeah"), Peter watching Laundray Theatre, Peter only coming with her for the pool and jacoozi and then running off when some robbers tried to rob Lois, Chris being entertained by Quagmire's antics, Chris pretending to be her wife Ted then knocking down the lamp and moving the table over it, Quagmire's scavanger hunt and Chris's prize and more of Quagmire's obsession with Lois, and Peter Incredible Hulk impression ("I'm priceless), Quagmire throwing a party and flirting with all those women and then Stewie singing for those girls, Peter ordering at a Fast Food Resturant when Lois's sister's going into baby, Mayor West in line, the doctor having his glove draw with needles and then Peter delivering the baby and wanting to have another baby and them not sending for help for the doctor's and Lois's and Peter's pet rock peeing on the carpet, Chris being Lois's best mistake because his birth led to them getting the house (a dead Lois as a rug but nothing else really changed), Stewie's imiganation of what could happen to this family if the most wonderful thing happen, Rupert as Stewie's psychologist, the Brady Bunch joke about that one kid getting replaced, Stewie trying to stop Peter and Lois from having sex and then Peter rolling on him ("Looks like cheese"). Insert transition into Act two with Peter building the crib ("If you say that's what she said one more time) the guy's reaction to Peter saying they're having another baby, Stewie putting the lipstick on Peter's shirt then flirting with him self in the mirror, Stewie making a joke about the Catholic Church and then the Peter Robot in place with the translator, the evil monkey joke yet again, Peter and Lois's romantic dinner (espically when Stewie entered his secret machine that turned out to be a shrink gun for his ship which got in a dogfight with a fly (("Oh dear, I'm afraid you're in a no fly zone))), the Air Supply joke, Peter's song to Lois which was all from the pet rock and watching Batman and having his heart rate rise, entering Peter's Testicles and blasting all of them and being attacked by anoter child, Peter's little dance to Lois, Stewie meeting that other child and then fighting with him and then being equal with himand getting caugh in a sleeper hold and then bonding with him over his hatred of Lois and Jason Patrick and then they're sequence of continually hurting Lois, Peter shoving a Watermelon down Lois's shirt, and Stewie and the other kid getting Peter to cry by singing "Love Lifts Up Where We Belong" and then Peter and Lois deciding to hold on to having another baby, and then the sperm baby being too clever for even Stewie. A lot of good jokes and an intresting premise. Too bad we'll never see unborn baby in the regular series. Oh well. A.

I remember seeing this one when it aired on Fox and thought it was hilarious. The whole "sperm wars" scene was outrageous.
Interestingly enough this episode had not one, but two ties to Star Trek as opposed to Star Wars. The voice of Stewie's ship was Majel Barrett Roddenberry (http://us.imdb.com/Name?Barrett,%20Majel), Gene Roddenberry's wife and voice of the ship computer in Star Trek:TNG, Deep Space 9 and Voyager. Stewie's "brother" was voiced by Wallace Shawn (http://us.imdb.com/Name?Shawn,%20Wallace) who played the Grand Nagus in DS9. He was also very funny in the Princess Bride (inconceivable!).
And yes, Evil Monkey.
See above post for more information :D
It seems less people are watching Family Guy lately or at least no one wants to talk about it.

Someone please post last night's evil monkey moment.
Does he show up in any more eps, or is that it?
I actually liked Stewie's "cool" moment, and it going on way too long just drove the point home how stupid it was from Shatner to do it in the first place.
For the love of god though, Peter has to have the record for a US cartoon character to be naked at this point(outside of any characters that don't wear clothes)

I'm pretty sure the monkey is a running gag on the show. He's appeared in at least 3 episodes off the top of my head (including yesterday's).
Anyways, as jfurdell mentioned (love the avatar, BTW), the actual storyline of Stewie stopping Peter & Lois from having a baby beat out the side jokes and references in this episode. The high point was Stewie meeting his match after the sperm war ("You hate Lois?"). Best "aside" joke I remember would have to be the Smurfs at the beginning ("You smurfed her?") or the aforementioned evil monkey joke (I love that running gag)

I only caught bits and peices of this one, but what I saw was funny. When I saw the evil monkey I freaked out, I had recognised it form morac's avatar, but never expected it to show up (didn't even know it was FG) I'm surprised Meg didn't think it was odd that their "dad" was sending them to go drink antifreeze, she's usually smarter than that.
Peter and Lois should also learn how to lock the door. parents with kids should know that (Lord knows I know when the door's locked to STAY AWAY) and I understand Stewie's dillemma to a degree, but from the opposite spectrum, my parents have 5 kids and I'm the oldset I'm failry confident in saying THAT'S ENOUGH!!

"The Kiss Seen Round The World", but you can't see the Family Guy Episode Review of it. Okay you can, but you can't hear it, so that's diffrent, right?
Cleveland's Wedding and Peter throwing plastic discuses as Cleveland, Brian finding Steve Guttenberg and that other guy, Peter playing that keyboard and that guy saying he's a phony and following him and then spray painting that note on Peter's car and going to his house and saying he's a fake , Stewie talking about the gift they got him and then being excited about the tricycle, Niel giving that presenation on the Star Trek character, and the teacher molesting children with crackpot theathres, and Tom walking really slowly for no real reason, and Meg's fantasy where Tom dives into the pool and walks over and talks to her taking his shirt off (Famous Movie scene right here) and then Meg,kissing the T.V and Brian seeing it ("Awk-ward"), Stewie talking about his days as a grease movie, thinking Mary Tyler Moore is dead, and the internship commerical, and Tom asking that kid about his moustache, and Diane not hiring those other girls because they're to perky and they're breasts are too big so she hires Meg who has to work with Neil and then him recording her saying give it to me and Tom and Diane insulting each other under they're breath, and Tom's interview with Dustin Hoffman with all clips of his old movies, Peter talking about Brian teaching him about Christopher Columbus (Rocky and Bullwinkle joke right there) and then the American Beauty quote from Peter and God telling him how stupid he is ("Do you know how complicated you're circulatory system is"). Act Two was also good, with Tom looking at him in his spoon, and Niel adding sweet and low to his coffeee when he wanted urine in it, and then the bully stealing Stewie's bike and Stewie thinking he was taking it for a test ride and then Brian telling him the truth and Stewie crying about it, and Tom calling Peter Jennings and that background music in the background, and then the Mass Media Murderer getting the best of by Hugh Downs and knocking off hte assasin's lucky assasin's hat and Meg wanting to be a college guy's last resort, and then her kissing Niel, and then Hugh Downs fighting with the Mass Media Murderer and then Hugh Downs flying off, and then Neil showing off them kissing on the News (This is when we stopped being Meg and Neil and started to become Meil) and then Peter and Lois not knowing anything about her, the cop descending to everyone thinking they're a baby, then everyone at school wearing a Meg kissing Neil shirt, then Al coming in saying he hasn't leaped yet, then Stewie talking with the Fitness guy about getting buff and they're deal with the guy coming on too strong, and then Chris being on his best behavior and accidentley mentioning poo, and Neil's parents first kiss, the bully being captured by Stewie, and Meg's report on the Moon which turns out to be Neil's face and no one wanting to kiss Neil (not even his own parents), the bully being questioned by Stewie and then they're playing Roman Thelansky's house, and then Tom praticing saying the president has been shot, and Tom calling Neil Ned all week, and Neil being blown away by the helicopter, and Tom talking about the sound effects for Neil's splatter ("good stuff, good stuff, good stuff, good stuff, good stuff"), and then the guy coming back and saying that Neil's a phony for not planning on jumping. There were a few bad jokes and not everything flowed that well, but still a pretty good episode. A-

It always feels kind of pointless to name specific scenes after DianaGohan's reviews.
Anyway, this one was alright. Meg tends to be the least funny of the Griffin family, and she wasn't anything great in this episode, either. However, there were enough side jokes and parodies to make it good, not to mention a very funny Tom Tucker. Not the best of FG, but good nonetheless.

i liked that episode. heck i even own the script to it. i mostly liked Tom Tucker getting more airtime and being exposed as the greedy ******* that he is. as for Meg, yeah, she's not exactly anyone's favorite (maybe because Mila Kunis is a hack), but i dont think she gets anymore episodes focused directly on her.

"Brian Wallows and Peter's Swallows" So why don't you follow the Family Guy episode review before I hollo at you. Hollo? Where did that come from.
This episode started out good, with Brian's date with Tina and her not knowing about music when she said she did ("Opera's *****in!"), Brian saying all his date are idiots ("Brian you're standards are ridicolous high") and them singing with the kid playing in the background, Peter watching the life and times of Grizzly Adams with the Bear being the female like figure, and Peter wanting to grow a beard and saying that Jesus was popular because of his beard, and the Ramsey family funeral with Peter wanting to find the real killers, The Miracle Worker in Binary Code (Too bad Bender isn't here to translate. Oh well, he dosen't speak good binary either), Quagmire being a pole in the fireman's warehouse and Peter flying (on a plane) in the holographm device, and Mayor West's date which turns out to be his hand ("You are a filthy whore") picking between Richard Greco and Johnny Depth and Brian being arrested for a DUI and Stewie drinking wine which Brian told him was apple juice, and Peter's advice about growing a beer and Wooly willy's beard/hairpeice, Stewie's dance about Brian going to jail, Mayor West marrying his hand, Chris having his hand caught in his pants for a week, Stewie's rant about the toliet ("You get a job!"), the old woman spraying powder on Brian that takes 30 seconds to hurt, Brian's job at the supermarket as a sample person, and that's it. Act two had some nice laughs, like Peter gettng some food caught in his beard and being attacked by that bird, and Dr.Coldman suddenley appearing to the Griffins, and the knowledge is power quote, The old woman thinking her tomato soup is snot soup, the bird eating all his popcorn at the movie and everyone threathening Peter, the bird biting Lois's tounge, and Brian yelling at the old hag ("And you know, drop dead") and Peter trying to get the bird out of his beard with music and then trying to shoot it out, and then the bird having his babies in his beard and imagining the kids as the birds, except for Meg who is instead Boba Fett, and the E! biography on Pearl Burdan which turns out to be the old woman Brian was taking care off, and then Brian saving her from sucide, and Peter feeding the birds the sandwitch, ice cream, then brushing their teeth and reading them a story ("A cow says beep beep beep"), Brian's song about the times changing, and then her being run over by a truck just as she runs out, and the doctors liking Kevin Pollock and Brian using the virtual reality kit to simulate a romance situation between the two and Peter letting the birds go, and the chicken being attracted to Peter (too bad she dosen't know his history with giant chickens). While they're were some good jokes, they weren't really laugh worthy (most of them anyway) and the dramatic moments were nice, but seemed to detract to much from the humor. So I give this episode a B-, good but not really that great.
EDIT: Changed the data around to make it more accurate. I do these reviews while watching the episode at the same time, so I'm bound to make a mistake from time to time. Thanks for pointing them out though. I apppeciate that.
EDIT 2: Made a couple more changes so what I said will be less confusing, even though it's still esstiantly a bunch of run on sentances.

Presenting For You're Enjoyment, "Mr. Saturday Knight" The Family Guy Episode Review.
The firstact had some nice laughs. Neil's father talking about the kid's parents having their diseases and all the kids wanting to be pharmacists, Peter saying he walks at a toy factory and the kid knowing about his job and Peter charaging him, and the kids wanting the accoutant guy again, and then the Reinassance guy not knowing about a microphone, Stewie's ad-lib about Cinderella, Margo Kido at their dinner and her going crazy for no real reason, and then Peter telling Mr Weed to come to dinner in the mirror that was preally him, Peter's job at the electric company and not being able to control the volume of his voice. The Meg Chris and Stewie Song actually was a pretty poor joke (went on for too long and didn't have enough of a parody to it, even though Meg's line about wanting her first chapagene was pretty funny) Lois imitating Emeril, Mr Weed's story about how he got his name, and then Brian joking and Peter preforming helimach on him and transfering the food peice to Mr Weed and making him die, and then Marge Kido reappearing ("Forgot my purse"). Then came the second act with the return of Death (who pretended to be the police and Peter trying to put the body in the toliet) coming to get Mr Weed and bringing his dog because they thought Brian may have died , the dinner roll on trial, Stewie talking about who he'll do at the funeral, Peter's Eulogy at the funeral (And putting that picture next to Jesus, and then his verbal consultant), Mr Weed's tape which shows him in his house, and then the real video where he says the toy factory will be torn down for the disease insitute, and then Peter trying for a job and the guy completley checked out since he only had a week left, then Peter looking at the classified and being a towel boy, and then selling stickers pretending to be deaf, and then pretending to be a prositute ("Okay it will cost you. How about a Cleveland Steamer") to Lois, and Stewie saying to Meg Prostiute Steve is like looking in her future, Peter wanting to sell Lois's blouse and then planning to eat the kids, and Peter wanting to be a Reanissance fair jousture then another appearence by Kido, and then talking to Mort (who has a fear of swords because a man scared him at age 5 and 30) then Peter being punk teenager in a flashback and going on an acid trip and being saved by the Black Knight, and Mort being addicted to antihistomine, Mort's war cry ("From an early age my parents discouraged loud noises) the sergant yelling at Peter saying he loves the Middle ages, and everyone but Mort getting turned on by the Black Knight's trophy wrench, and the Black Knight shaving with his helmet, Stewie in his cereal box fort and Peter getting the toast with his lance and dragging Meg by her earring, Peter getting some muttonjorts and hitting on the Black Knight's woman ("Ye, kind shrew.. I before thee... excpet after C) and then stuffing a bird in her panties and then the Black Knight not liking Peter and then saying he'll kill him and Mort saying he miscarried, and then Peter and Lois laughing about saying Big Meat (one of the things they have in common, which was even said by the creators) and then the vaccum cleaner salesman being a jerk because he didn't give Peter a half eaten Meatball, the monks singing the sports theme when one of the knights fell, Mort challenging the Black Knight and then running off, and then the guy with the fat donkey, and then no one getting away from Peter calling him a fizzle except for that one guy, and then the joust with Peter winning with the Black Knight being distracted due to Neil towing his car, and then talking about the episode of the HooneyMooners where Ralph lost his job and didn't get it back ("That bugged the crap out of me") where the same thing happened here. The problem here was there were too many jokes that went on for too long and weren't that funny to begin with (The song being the biggest example) but otherwise, a good episode that sets up the next one quite nicley. (Did you know Peter was suppose to have a job change every couple of seasons, if it lasted that long. That was in the commentary as well). I give this one a B.

The Jesus-as-Incredible-Hulk thing is one of my favorite jokes of the series, even though it's at least the third or fourth time they've done a "Hulk" joke.

Its really funny that CN is willing to uncensor the Bush joke and the Twin Tower scene yet they still blank out the "sweet Jesus" line
Hypocracy is funny :p
