Far and away, it's Fleischer's Popeye (and the early Famous version too)! Unlike Donald Duck, when it came to giving and taking lessons in "military toughness," Mr. Eye could both talk the talk and walk the walk. Plus, circa 1959, when I was age 5 and in the hospital recovering from a tonsillectomy (remember, those were pre-laser days), Popeye was Da Man to every TV kid in the ward! And I'm sure it was any one of those Fleischer/Famous B&Ws that made him so, plus the three early color "specials." (OK, I'll throw in "Rocket to Mars" and "Popeye, the Ace of Space" for good measure!)

Ya know this was a REALLY tough call for me... Daffy on one hand, Bosko on another, the Boopster on yet another, and Popeye on a fourth hand (c'mon guys turtles don't have hands, only legs and feet so I can have four!! ;)). And Flip is in there somewhere (maybe I can balance him on my back...?)

ONLY Daffy lived to a ripe old age relatively unmolested by censors, inept directors, genuinely bad storymen or changing tastes and mores. Unlike poor Bosko, Betty and Popeye.

Buuuuuut being the kind of guy I am... I voted for Bosko.

I tried to fit as many 30s characters as possible,
after all the maximum is 10.

BTW, This poll is very tough for myself even!
I voted for FLIP THE FROG though.
