I would have posted this sooner, but I was a tad bit busy yesterday...
ANYWAY...
On Yesterday's show on the Ripping Friends, they had a nice, classic, 6 minute short. "The Ripping Friends are your friends too!" Basically, the concept for it was "We want you, the viewers, to mail us, & tell us what ticked you off this week. Then we, The Ripping Friends, will do something about it". Well, the complaint was "My cereal box said there was a free Prize inside, but when I opened it up, all I got was a sticker.
Welp, Rip shows up to the Cereal factory, & threatens the manager to tell him why the "prize" was just a crappy little Sticker...
Manager: "Well, we would like to put prizes in Billy's cereal, but 10 years ago, some kid swallowed a prize, and they never got it out. His mom sued, & we've been afraid to give out prizes ever since"
Rip: "So, just because one stupid kid swallows a toy, the rest of the world must SUFFER?!"
I was sooo suprized that I heard what I heard. I was so happy. this is exactly how I feel on so many subjects. Later in the skit, Rip visits the boy who swallowed the toy. The Man, with a toy obviosuly lodged in his throat, then procedes to swallowing a Telephone, threatening that "no one can use phones anymore, because now my mom will Sue!" HAHA, this is SO true in todays society.
Anyway, I just wanted to put that out there. I am amazed that someone had the guts to finally point that out. Way to Go SPUMCO!
