I hope this isn't an old topic, but I recently stumbled over this little elf of a problem.
I was going to buy the region 1 DVD of the 'V' Mini series only to note that it might be one of the few Region Coded Enhanced DVD's that Warner has recently produced. The effect is to stop mulit region players playing a disk from a specific region. Myself, coming from the UK, have a region 2 matsui DVD player which has had a software hack (eg; pressing the buttons in the right order) to make it a variable region player or non regional. I'm not sure if this sort of hack is affected by RCE encoded DVD's and I don't wanna buy if it ain't gonna work..... any feedback on this? :D
