Hey everyone-
Does anyone know what animation studio is doing the Mystery of the Batwoman movie. Personally i hope its TMS, that would be great.

I'm guessing there will be more than one work on it, just like ROTJ. I remember the commentary track with BT pointing out which studios had done what scenes, and I'm guessing this will be the same way.

The majority of ROTJ...and Mask of the Phantasm...were both done by TMS. That's easily the best studio the DCU shows and movies have worked with, so I hope that they follow suit and do so with this movie.

Actually, it was Dong Yang and Spectrum who did the animation for Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. Dong Yang completely did Sub-Zero, and Dong Yang and TMS split Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. Expect the same with Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman.

Do we know what animated style the movie will be in yet? I'm assuming its gonna be in the original BTAS style, becuase they never made character designs for all those villians in the Justice League Style, and TNBA is kinda upsetting, so i'm hoping it's not gonna be in that style. I guess there is a good chance it will be in TNBA though because that is the style the flashback scenes in Return of teh Joker were in. But something tells me it might be like Subzero and keep the orignal designs. That would just be awsome to see i think. Plus Bane was such a cooler villian in BTAS anwway,

bat313I've heard that Batman would use his JL design, but I could be confusing "Batwoman" with the new Batman Adventures comic.
I certainly don't want to see the B:TAS designs used for all the characters. The Penguin and Bane are easily two of the best improved designs when we moved to TNBA.
The Penguin was restored to the well-dressed villain I had come to know and love. Whenever "Batman Returns" or his BTAS design is brought up I cringe because Oswald Cobblepot is not a mutant—merely a chubby guy with a big nose. That was one of the aspects that I hated of the BTAS and I liked how they cast Paul Williams and made the Master of Fowl Play as distinguished as possible, but keeping the WB forced "Returns" design.
"El Bane" the Mexican wrestler-like BTAS version was another one I was pleased to see go come TNBA. While he wasn't used much in the series, Bane looked a lot tougher with the color in all black with the evil red eyes. It just plain worked.
So I'm hoping for an update TNBA look for all the characters.

Really? I oughta check that out to prove it to myself. I knew that Dong Yang did all of SUB-ZERO though. In my eyes, Dong Yang has always been the second most competent animation studio that has worked on the animated DCU shows. If they have a big enough budget, they're just as good as TMS. :)

Does anyone here check out the animation forum at Shane Glines' website?
Many industry professionals post there. A while back a poster mentioned that a WB storyboard artist told him that 'Batwoman' was being done by the same studio that did 'ROTJ', which, of course, is TMS. Hope that's true!
