How many eps are there in the 1st season of Rayearth anyway?

How many episodes of the first season of Rayearth are there? I was looking at boxed sets and I saw 2 different Rayearth Memorial boxed sets for the first season. Are these just two different versions of the same set of episodes or are there so many episodes that they all wouldn't fit into one boxed set? (I got this series recommended to me highly, so I wanted to look into it.) Because if there are that many episodes to have two bosed sets, my thought to get the entire season could get a bit pricy, not to mention thinking about getting season 2 (Rayearth 2) or the OVA. Man, oh man is that a lot of overtime!

There are 20 episodes in the first season, and quite a bit more in the second (don't remember the exact number).

I've only seen two DVD boxsets--the Season One (http://www.rightstuf.com/1-800-338-6827/catalogmgr/4OByKGi=CPt4sJsGai/browse/item/37424/4/954/24) DVD set and the Season Two (http://www.rightstuf.com/1-800-338-6827/catalogmgr/4OByKGi=CPt4sJsGai/browse/item/45117/4/954/36) DVD set. If you're talking about the VHS sets, though, there might be some confusion--bascially, Media Blasters uses different box art for the dub tapes and the sub tapes.

I think there are 29 TV eps for the 2nd season.

Altogether, there are 49 TV episodes of Magic Knight Rayearth, plus 3 OAV episodes just titled Rayearth (that tell a new story).

what you saw, was probley a Bootleg of Rayearth..

in the Offical version released by Media Blasters the First season comes on 5 Discs, and the Second season comes on 7 discs.
