Howdy,

Courtesy of Neil Gaiman's weblog (http://www.neilgaiman.com/journal/journal.asp):

One little one before bed. A real-life superhero (http://www.courier.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=82705&command=displayContent&sourceNode=82257&contentPK=5416929) (in Tunbridge Wells, no less). Somehow that makes me proud to be English. While thousands of miles away, the Japanese police catch a Costumed Villain. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/3000211.stm)

Now we need the sequel: Brown Mask versus Japanese Schoolgirl. ("No! Don't be foolishly chivalrous Brown Mask! That's not a Japanese Schoolgirl! It's a MAN!")

Stuff like this NEVER happens in New Jersey, man...

:)

Actually, I read in an article that some women in the Northeast (possibly New Jersey!) was going around in a ridiculous costume and breaking up couples walking on the street, said couples being women and men who had met in bars and her purpose was to, apparently, stop the women from making bad mistakes. They even had a photo of it. She looked utterly silly.

If she was going after rapists, I would understand, but that isn't protection from bad men. It's c**k-blocking. And that's bad.

Wow, that is just utterly cool. I wish this stuff happened to me.

Howdy again,

An update. Apparently, the gullibility index of the people of the world is at an all time high. The supposed superhero sighting in England has been revealed to be a hoax. (http://www.twjc.co.uk/superhero.html)

OK, now we need someone to take it seriously and get photographed in the act. Maybe someone who gets punted from Stan Lee's new superhero reality show.

The method in which the media deals with stuff like this is utterly astounding... it was a hilarious prank, but I can't believe how far overboard it went!
