In PORKY’S BADTIME STORY, I notice that when the boss is first introduced, he says to Porky and Gabby, “Well, if it isn’t the Rover Boys” But in the remake, TICK TOCK TUCKERED, the boss says to Porky and Daffy, “Well, if it isn’t the DOVER Boys”. How come they changed it, and what did it mean?

The Rover Boys (http://www.geocities.com/sbcentral/rover.html) were the main characters of a series of books. The Dover Boys was sort of a spoof of that series. I'm guessing it was changed to either make reference to Jones' short, or to just parody the name of the Rover Boys.
