Sorry I was so late posting this talkback thread, folks-- remember, if by the time the first Anime Unleashed episode of the week is up I haven't posted a talkback thread yet, you can safely assume that I'm a lazy jerk and post your own, which I will sticky the next time I'm here. (-:
So, when is the next movie going to air? And what will it be? Armtiage was a good warmup, with Keither Sutherland and the other girl.

This new robot is quite the nifty piece of machinery. I love how it simply picks up other robots and crushes them with some sort of gravity field. Very cool.
It's good to see Mitsuki Rara escape from her evil mother and end up living with Kazuki (of course, we all new that would happen).
Things are heating up now with what looks to be the final battle, and Mitsuki Sanada piloting the enemy robot no less!
I'm really enjoying this series, so it's a shame it's going to end so soon. I wonder....is it an otaku sin to be enjoying this series more than Trigun?
What are the names of the robots? Even after hearing them a couple of times I still don't know what they are.

I don't like this more than Trigun. Luckily, it reruns at 3:00 am.

Don't get me wrong, I still love Trigun. It's just that Vash's don't-kill-no-matter-what philososhy is getting extremely annoying.
Gotta love that 3:00 a.m. time slot :).

Heh, the whole RaRa army defected for the sake of their Mitsuki!
Poor Mitsuki Sanada gets to be jealous - of herself!
New robot, out of nowhere - nice.
RaRa's wife taking over, but still just serving that glowy thing.
Some things are becoming more clear. The two Mitsukis, same mom, different dad. Kazuki on a month delay every time he makes the dimensional jump.
So they made up a story that Kazuki and Mitsuki eloped, huh? I'm sure Mitsuki doesn't mind that, though she still has trouble being nice to Kazuki. No wonder he likes her RaRa double better.
Mitsuki Sanada, brainwashed? I think she's just in a plain old jealous rage. End the war, even if it's RaRa that wins, just so Kazuki will go back with her to a place where she doesn't have competition.
Of course, it doesn't help that the two realities keep intersecting like that.
Dual goes on my "DVDs to buy" list.

I love Dual! :p Tonight a reference to Tenchi Muyo, the Light Hawk Wings
And naked Tasuki and naked Mitsuki (the kinder version) in bed O_O

Light hawk wings. heh. Probably was an intentional nod to Tenchi.
So, they merged the two worlds à la "Crisis on Infinate Earths". Except that the Sanada household remains relatively unchanged. Actually, picking up on who the people are now in relation to who they were in both worlds is a bit of work.
Definately an open ended ending. Space travel, sure, better than war. Though Mrs. RaRa seems to be attempting to revive the war. And of course, Kazuki is left with the unanswered Tenchi dilemma. Maybe he's even worse off, Tenchi only has two leading candidates to chose from, but Kazuki has four girls who are totally in love with him.

Did the next to last episode seem a bit chopped up to anyone? It seems like Tech TV sort of cut in places where it wasn't exactly prudent to cut. Ah well, it was still great.
It's odd how everyone still has memories of their lives in the other dimensions but also have new memories of their lives in their current dimension. You'd think only the latter would have happened.
With such an open-ended ending, there has got to be another season in the works, right?
Well, now that the series has ended, who ended up being your favorite love interest for Kazuki?

Did anybody catch Kiyone at the end of the final episode? She's one of the people standing there staring at Jinbu. It seems that the Tenchi and Dual universes are one in the same.

Ive skipped Trigun the last few weeks so I could watch Dual and Ive enjoyed it more then Trigun. I really wish there were more episodes or a spin off. Anyone know when this 1st premiered in Japan?

That's just a little in-joke to the fans. Ramia and Misao from Pretty Sammy are standing next to her. ;)

Dual - Episode Nine
I don't have any real comments on this episode. B
Dual - Episode Ten
Very freaky episode here. The love tringle between Kazaki, Mitsuki and Mitsuki (Double Jeopardy!) is starting to heat up and bring out alot of emotions while maintaining and comedic value. D is also starting to act funky and hopefully it turns out to be a real plot-twister. A+
Dual - Episode Eleven
Sweet mother of God, this is the greatest series...ever. I totally LOVED this episode. It was just so freaking good that words can't explain it. The relationship between Kazaki and Mitsuki (you know which one I'm talking about) was taking turns for the best. Seeing Kazaki adjust was a real nice touch thrown into the episode and made it good. The end had my jaw on the floor. A+++
Dual - Episode Twelve
Oh sweet monkey ****, this episode just ticked me off from being so good. The plot is really starting to twist now, the love of Mitsuki RaRa for Kazaki has really made Mitsuki lost her tiny little mind. The worlds are starting to become one and it is causing some freaky siturations (Statue of Liberaty BACK in France? Say w00t!) and I cannot wait until the end comes. A++++
Dual - Episode Thirteen
Wow, this was great. I am very happy and glad on how they handled this episode. The begining left off from the last episode and didn't have that "oh-the-ending-from-the-last-episode-was-great-but-this-was-bad", it actually ended the battle in a genius way. The secrest of D have been revealed and it was great. The ending was a very happy one and nicely done, but curse it, I WANT KAZAKI AND MITSUKI TOGETHER, THEY CAN'T DO THAT IF THEY ARE RELATED! Argh... A+
Dual - Episode Fourteen
There is nothing better to end an anime than some good old wholesome perverted japanese humor. I found the last episode to be a much better ending to this one, this just seemed to want to lead onto another series. Almost 90% of this episode was more like a fan ficition then actually made by the real production company. This was both great and a let down. B
Overall, Dual could of had a much better way to end. But oh well.

Wow. That was great. I'm glad I decided to miss Trigun to see this. I know there are DVD's but is there manga? Also does anybody know where I can find a copy of the song? It's stuck in my head and I can't remember the words.

I liked the way they ended the series by merging the two worlds. We get to see more of the fight over Kazuki than in previous episodes, though I don't know about making Mitsuki Sanada his cousin. I loved the ending with all four girls dressed up, but now there has to be more episodes. Wasn't episode 14 an OVA? I really hope there are plans to continue Dual!.

Did the next to last episode seem a bit chopped up to anyone? It seems like Tech TV sort of cut in places where it wasn't exactly prudent to cut.
It's possible. Apparently the 14th episode was an OVA, not part of the original TV series, so it very well may have been longer than half an hour originally.
It's odd how everyone still has memories of their lives in the other dimensions but also have new memories of their lives in their current dimension. You'd think only the latter would have happened.
Funny stuff happens when parallel universes merge. That's why I mentioned Crisis on Infinate Earths before. The aftermath of Crisis had almost the entire DC comics continuity altered, but as far as all the characters knew that was the way it was supposed to be.
It seems that the Tenchi and Dual universes are one in the same.
I've heard it said that Dual is a psuedo-sequel to Tenchi, but I think it's just that a lot of the Tenchi crew worked on Duel and dropped in a bunch of cameos and references.
It's stuck in my head and I can't remember the words.

So nothing is solved. Kazkui/Tenchi still has 4 women after him, and now they're heading to space. The name of the last episode should have been It's Kazkui's and Mitzuki's world, you're just living in it.
Still though, it's a good show, and it's nice to see the whole cast alive and together in a show that equal parts EVA and Tenchi.
The OVA just screams "sequel", doesn't it?

Yes, it does?!
Seriously, Episodes 1-8 air tonight in the usual "week" replay, even though since Armitge III: Poly Matrix aired the friday showings are a week behind. @_@

What ep numbers were those last night? Well,my first time seeing dual last night and my first thought was "Is this evangelion?". This show seems to be so much like Evangelion in many ways. There's a non-human clone, a loudmouth and a polite quiet boy. And the robots look like evas as well. Except that these don't run on big power cords and no one on this anime seems insane yet and there's a lot more humor it seems. Especially the part where Kyatsu had to wear that female suit and helmet, lol. Pretty good anime so far, can't wait to see the next eps next Friday.
