people are gonna vote for who theyre gonna vote for, regardless of your threads. seriously. they seem like a waste of space to me. you all have the right to disagree and think im an ass. thats cool.

I don't get those threads either. What point do they serve? I'm not going to vote for someone simply becuase a thread told me to. They have to do serious campaigning! tell me why I should vote for this person, what plans do they have to solve some of our problems, what will they do for the delaney poll, etc. that's what i wanna know!

Figuring how I make a lot of these...
When you put a thread for a block specific character on the respective board, it really helps. Think of it this way: A lot of Adult Swim fans would vote for Brak, but a lot of them aren't regular visitors to the Comic Book Culture forum, and therefore wouldn't know anything about the poll. I make a "Vote for Brak in the Delaney Poll" thread, TZ members who are fans of Brak notice the thread, click the link, and vote for his fave character. This was one of the biggest factors in Adult Swim characters winning (Brendon Small wouldn't have won without it). Same applies to Toonami, Termite Trading Post, DC, Anime, etc.. Although I will admit they don't seem as effective in the WBC.

now ill agree with that. if its a focused community, it may help. but those threads are just silly clutter in the wbc. also, people should just put it in their sigs, since more people are likely to read that anyway.

You know, someone actually said once that if the poll function on the board did not permit anyone to see the results until the poll was over, then the Delaney poll would be more competitive since no one would know who was winning and who was losing. But a lot of the time, as much as a lot of people want certain characters to win, the poll is pretty much down to two by Tuesday and over by Thursday. Not too often do we get a really close one or an amazing comeback.
As for the comments, yes you should vote for who YOU want to win, not the better of the two front-runners or what someone is forcing you to.
