You can also download them. Just search your Temporary Internet Files for the name of the file. Then grab the file (.swf type) and drop it elsewhere in your hard disk.

In order to watch the episode, open it with Internet Explorer.

would it be possible to take those episodes from your hard drive and save them on a CD as VCDs? If so, I would seriously consider buying a new computer with a DVD ROM and CD burner on it if I could make VCDs of net animation.

No problem, Kitty. I really like your avatar by the way. I've tried this myself and it works. I find when they are downloaded, they play much faster and better! I would really like to get these burned onto a disc!

Hmmm...I was also considering putting a GOTHAM GIRLS episode guide up on the site as well...

Another method would be to use a download manager (I prefer Download Accelerator Plus, it's free :D). Just enter the url and it does all the work for you.

Well, pretty much anything is possible. I'm not aware of software that will convert Shockwave to MPEG but you could use some sort of screen capture to turn it into MPEG.

This is truely the coolest web trick I've ever seen. I'd tried this before, but somehow didn't get it to work, and figured it couldn't be done.

It's great to have these on disk -- I was kind of living in fear that one day they'd be gone forever. (Like the Unmasked episode.)

Thank you, thank you.

If I could somehow find the name of all the episodes and an estimated time as to when they were put online, I could quickly whip up a webisode guide.

I've downloaded the eps, but they don't play correctly (no sound) unless my Internet connection is active. Has anyone else been able to play them stand-alone?

Specifically, I can play them when I drag them into IE, but not through QuickTime movie player.

I've noticed that, too. I hope someone can figure a way to get these onto a disc. I'd love to see them offline.

I think I'll take this opportunity to plug the new Gotham Girls section, for the World's Finest! When the WF opens back up, it is going to have some new sections, and a detailed Gotham Girls section is one of them! Complete with, Bios, Reviews, Multimedia, Comic info, and an Episode Guide!

Whoo! Thanks for bringing this thread back up! I've been away from Gotham Girls for far too long - finally I can see all of last season!

I still kinda wish that this series didn't JUST feature the women, though...but hey, take what you can get, right?

I don't think we can do that until the season is over. Given the current site layout, it looks like they will have links to all the season's episodes.

I found where they are loacated the day after the new ones come out. You can view the first episode, but you can't download it. I tried downloading it so it would be easier for me to review the episode, but all I got was a black screen.

I ran into that too -- and I'm not sure if it's because it's mid-season. I didn't have this problem with the previous seasons downloading episodes in mid-stream,

I'm wondering if they are using a new secure or quasi-streaming version of Flash that only allows the file to play only when accessed directly from the website...

Yeah, it's kinda like an Anti-Theft system.

There is a way to veiw them offline. You have to turn the .swf into a .avi

to do this it takes like three diffrent programs..I don't know about anyone else..but I can't spend the money on three programs just to get GG...lol

Aghhhhhhhhhhh instead clicking on the links right click them and select "Save Target As" and it'll save it as a Shockwave Flash File but you'll have to play it with Windows Media Player ??? that puzzeles me but hey it works

I finally have access to a computer which allows me to watch these! They were lots of fun to watch! Thanks for the links. Its great to give the gals of Gotham a chance to shine with their own series, and I love that they got the actors from BTAS to do the voices for this! Very impressive. I love seeing Catwoman as a villain MUCH more than as a heroine-type. I'm not too happy about her being so helpful in "Hush". Catwoman should be baaaaad! BTW, I think its way cool that they
introduced a transgendered character into the show (Selma Reesdale)
who seems to be presented in a relatively positive way (i.e. not psycho
or a prostitute). Hope she winds up in the Batman Adventures at some
point too. I'll have to keep an eye out for future episodes. Are these three seasons the only ones they've made so far?

The future of the series is currently uncertain. Gotham Girls hasn't officially been cancelled, but there's also no official green light for a fourth season.

who were the main writers/artists on these shorts. were they newbies or tas crew? i never saw credits on any of them. i really enjoyed these
and i'd love to see more down the line. pardon my ignorance, i'll check out WF ep guide.

James Harvey

I'm still trying to get the proper writing credits for each episode. The late Hilary Bader was heavily involved in the series, and Paul Dini stepped in a couple times, as well

As for a fourth season, it's still possible. The third season saw a major jump in web traffic, and so could be seeing more. Everyone is just waiting for WB to give the green light, or the red.

Ya never know, maybe they'd be used as special features for the "Batman: The Animated Series" box set. Hey it could happen.

I can't see it happening either. Some of the Looney Tunes webtoons are coming to DVD in November, and it'd be nice to see if Gotham Girls could follow suit. The thing is, all three seasons would clock in at no more than 90 minutes combined. They could all easily fit on a single DVD release. Divide the DVD into three sections, and there you go.

Will it happen? Chances are slim to none.

I'd like to see these come to DVD, especially if we can get season three. Despite alot of people's misgivings about it, I liked it. Granted, the evil sister thing isn't 100% original, but I still found it entertaining.
