I said Droopy, but Bimbo is close behind. I just love that wacky Tex stuff slightly more than the wacky Fleischer stuff.

Sorry for nitpicking, but I don't the Jeep quite fits in here, since he is a Jeep and not a dog. There's a lot of cool characters on this list, but Droopy is #1!

Your poll made it rather hard for me to decide, but I chose Goofy. Other favorites of mine would be Droopy, Pluto, and Barnyard Dog.

BTW: I believe Pete is supposed to be a cat, not a dog.

I chose Charlie, I love every cartoon he ever appeared in, though I wanted to choose Barnyard Dawg too...

And I agree that pete is supposed to be a cat, making him a natural rival for Mickey, as well as Goofy in that Goof Troop series.

Pete tends to change from cat to dog in many of his films.
In the Alice cartoons he is known as a dog.
In the Oswald cartoons he started out as a cat, but then turned
into a dog.
And finally when Mickey came about Pete was also a cat,
and then turned into a dog again.

You can also tell that Pete is a dog by looking at Goof Troop,
his son has dog-like ears. The TTTP moderators are welcome
to change Pete to "Underdog" or "Toby the Pup."
