I've recently started watching the Mission: Impossible series and am very impressed! It does a good job of leaving the viewer in the dark about certain things until almost the end of the episode. The first one I watched had a couple of them breaking into a cremation furnace, of all places, to get someone out of an asylum. Crazy stuff! The writers had quite the imaginations. Reminds me of John Doe in that sense.
So, who else is a fan of the Impossible Missions Force? :)

Howdy,
Count me as a fan of the IMF, and their impossibly cool theme music. My biggest disappointment in the movies is that they took the base concept of a team of operators whose primary tactic is to outthink and outwit their opponents, and turned it into Just Another Action Movie. I don't think anybody in the originals ever even CARRIED a gun.
This post will self destruct in five seconds. Good luck, Jim!

Yeah, I actually saw the first movie before the series and I'd have to agree. I enjoyed Tom Cruise and company, and it definitely had its moments, but it was just lacking somehow. The series really feels unpredictable to me (other than the fact that you know they'll win somehow ;)). I think you're right about the guns, too...

I'm a fan of the Mission: Impossible series. It's too bad they don't show it around here anymore--I haven't seen it for years.:(
