Bad voice acting is alot easier for me to deal with personally. I mean eventually, no matter how annoying you get use to some peoples voices.

Yeah, I can definitely del with bad voice acting - bad animation bugs me a heck of a lot more.

Yes, bad voice acting-visual stuff is too important for a animated show to spare bad animation. And I deal with annoying voices everyday, so it's easy for me to deal with voicework. ;)

Bad voice work is worse for me. There's nothing worse than a flat or overdone reading. Good voicework can sometimes make bad drawings seem more emotive, but bad voicework can kill the best animation.

Bad animation is worse. I find it so blatant and annoying when a character looks off-model.

I agree with Leaping Larry Jojo. If the voicework grates on my nerves so much, I can't watch the show. Bad animation I can usually chalk up to the "style" of the show..... but I won't hesitate to make fun of it.

As long as the show's animation is really good looking, the voice acting can be a little off. I like the visual stuff better, anyway. IMHO, and I know it's foreign and all, but Princess Mononoke was visually stunning, but most of the voices were just not right...

Well, on one hand the voices being bad but the show looking good will annoy the heck out of me. But on the other hand, good voices and bad visuals is annoying too. Eh, i think the voices are more important to me. Of course, the first choice is to have both!:D

Lame answer, no? :p

If the show is already "illustrated radio," then it needs good voice work and the animation can fall by the wayside. The Jay Ward shows, for instance, are funny whether your eyes are open or closed.

If the film is supposed to be carried along by its animation and visual flair, then good voice acting will never save it. BTAS always had terrific vocal performances, but, let's be honest, many of their shows -- excuse me -- cough, hack, akom, hack, cough -- had hideous animation that came close to ruining them.

I look for overall quality and don't particularly care how it hangs together, so long as it does.

Voice acting. I was brought up on Jamie And His Magic Torch, He-Man, The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends, Godzilla..... all had pretty bad animation but above par voice acting. Even Battle Of The Planets, which shares much the same footage as it's latter day recomposite, G-Force - Guardians OF Spaces scores over the latter via better voice acting.

Animation is nothing - so is voice acting compared to the mother of all ingredients to all anime - cool soundtrack!!

ALL those listed above had fantastic soundtracks including He-Man, Transformers, Star Fleet..... :D

bad voice acting. You want proof. Trying watching Xmen evolution. Its great when its on mute. The quality of animation in that show compares to STAS and BB. But the acting oh my god its pathetic.

I can tolerate a poorly animated show more than I can tolerate bad voice acting. Of course, I'd rather have both, but if the voice actors suck, then you really can't get into the show no matter how good it is.

Wow, I'm suprised at how many people would rather have bad voice acting than deal with bad animation. I immediately thought that if the animation is great, that doesn't really tell me much about the show. The characters, and acting could still be bad. If you've got strong actors, then you've got good and real characters (potentially).

I'd also be disappointed if the animation was off the charts amazing only to find out later that the acting was terrible. Upon looking at the animation, I would be really excited about liking the show......but then they start talking.....at which point all my hopes for the show are down the toilet. I want EVERY part of it to be perfect (or at least in sync with the other aspects of the show, making it a good show).

It's like only leaving in the almost trivial aspects of a toon, while not putting in any heart with good likeable characters that'll make this particular show jump the gap from kids only fanbase, to Batman/Superman-like SUPER broadened fanbase.

Shyeah buddy! As long as you can groove to it, it's all good.:D

But, I'd say Animation is above VA. Heck, you can always just put it on mute, & read the CC. hehe!

But, look at "Alienators: Evolution Continues". Animation is fair, VA is perfect, but the soundtrack is stinky-poo. there are about..2 different "action sequence" tunes, and neither really get you in the mood...:o

Now, Batman & Superman Adventures...The opening theme alone put you in a mood that set either show in perfect motion!
