I recently sent an e-mail to Strong Bad and had it bounced back. :( (should I try again?) Has anyone else here written to him and did your letter make it onto the site?

My friends and I are considering sending him an email, but since they get THOUSANDS of letters a day, we really haven't gotten around to it because it's very unlikely they would answer :knd1:

I've never sent one because I've never got a good idea for one...though The Brothers Chaps do have to go through a ton of emails everyday and just pick one, so the chances are low (but being chosen for an email would be REALLY cool). Just try and think of a question that would have a lot of comedic possibility (such as "What do you think of Japanese Cartoons?") and send that.

P.S. Vote for Strong Bad on the Delaney Poll. :D

I did, and I feel it was a really good question. It was bounced back, as if it didn't reach them. My question would make a good short, I feel. If it ever makes it, I'll let you guys know. ;)

Yeah, I'd really like to see Strong Bad answer some of my questions about Life, the Universe, and Everything. But he's a busy little man, so... haven't bothered yet.

I wonder what would happen if I asked him "could yo teach me how to wrestle like you and your brother, using The Cheat and Homsar as your example opponents," or, "I've been wondering if you could find out what marshmallows are really made of. Can you go on a field-trip there, and report your findings?" Or, "have you ever put anything interseting in Homestar's melonaid, and if so, what, and if not, can you?."

heehee, the possibilities... too bad they probably have enough as it is to last a while... but we shall see.

I asked him what he would be like if he was a giant monster.

I thought about it once in German class. I wanted to ask him what a Schwimmbad was.

I already know it means "swimming pool" in German, but I wanted to see if they'd create a new character....one who can or can't swim. :D

In the e-mail about strongbad's faves it shows 2 scenes, where these ever full-blown e-mails.

1) Strongbad gets drunk on soy-sause and tries (and fails) to drive bub's stand

2) A nife fight between Coatch z and Pom Pom.

I've considered sending something like "What would it be like if you and Homsar switched bodies for a day?"

The other day I sent an e-mail informing him that I made an Easter egg of him -- with a picture attached. I don't know how they'd incorporate that into something, but it felt good just to send it.

The question I sent that got bounced back was "how do you think your life would be different if you had four arms?" :) I may have been inspired by the one that showed him with "fingers." Go sports!

As far as people sending in pictures of stuff they've made, there's an entire section devoted to fan art in the museum. Things like SirLemming's Easter egg. You all know about the museum, right? ;)

Wow, I had no idea. But I did address the e-mail to Strong Bad pretty well. Still, I guess something like that, which could easily be part of the museum, would kind of "lose points" when being considered for the weekly e-mail...

In general, I think the best way to get an e-mail recognized is this: Don't be "in on it." When everyone's in on the joke, it kind of ruins it. Don't invade their world. The best e-mails will be the ones that lead to a potentially good comedy idea (which I guess is pretty much anything, judging by what these guys have done before), not the ones that patronize.
I'm sure they get tons of those kinds of e-mails and it must tick them off...

Nah, I don't think they'd get ticked at fan art. If anything, they'd be flattered! Maybe you'll see your picture on the site someday.

P.S. Nice Frank Layden quote. He's a funny guy! He used to get the waterboy to test his drink before he gave it to him. :p

No, I meant they get ticked off at e-mail from people who are obviously way too "in on it." Like, if it's so obvious that they want their e-mail to be read because it's so incredibly wacky. Well, not so much ticked off, just kinda like *sigh*

Some of the e-mials I've sent to him:

If you could make your own reality tv show, what would it be?

If you ever retired from answering e-mails, would you ever give homestar the job of answering them?

If you ever met someone who asked you how you type with gloves on, how bad would you hurt them?

Can you teach me how to fight?
