Man, I'm looking at the Previews for December. It looks to be good...

DC FULL COVERAGE: Cheap marketing ploy? Perhaps, but them covers look good. And they're supposed to be jumping-on points. Always a plus.

THE DARK KNIGHT STRIKES AGAIN: Yay! It's finally happening, guys and gals!

SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL: Written by Geoff Johns, drawn by Todd Nauck and Lary Stucker. This I am eagerly awaiting.

JLA: Joe Kelly and Doug Mahnke start. From what I heard in the recent Newsarama interview with Kelly, cool stuff should be on the way. I'm a big fan of both these guys.

JL ADVENTURES: Well, Paul Storrie's supposed to be pretty good, so I'll check it out.

DEADMAN: Need I say more? Sorry, I'm a fan of ol' Boston Brand.

SECRET FILES GUIDE TO THE DCU 2001-2002: I'm a sucker for Secret Files.

And JL will be on TV! And Christmas! And no school! Yay! Yes, December shall be a good month.

DC FULL COVERAGE: Cheap marketing ploy? Definitely. But it's a great art opportunity as well.

THE DARK KNIGHT STRIKES AGAIN: I'm not as enthusiastic as most people are. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big big FM fan. I've read every tiny Sin City story and I'm in owe of his work on Batman. Still, lately his style has changed... sadly NOT for the better. And I think that in terms of art he's sorta lost it. Just look at his latest SC tale: the characters are disproportionned and their muscles are so strange-looking... hopefully he'll be back to his old self.

JL ADVENTURES: Well, Paul Storrie IS good, so I'll have to check it out.

I can't weait for December. I'm still drooling over the BATMAN cover, as well as the ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN cover. I think I'll be picking up more books than regular this time around, as well! I'm still debating whether or not to buy THE DARK KNIGHT STRIKES BACK right off, or wait until TPB, becuase the book is going to be awfully expensive for one issue in Canada - about $13.

I haven't read any of Frank Miller's work besides DKR (and I checked out his early Daredevil stuff, before he wrote), so I have no idea what he's like these days.

Personally, I don't mind paying $8 per issue for DKSA. Their each 80 pages long, which is 8 pages short of 4 comic books, which add up to $9 at the least. Plus, these'll be printed on glossy paper, being a PF and all. And the collector in me is saying that the originals will be worth a bit more someday :D

Well, since I'll be buying several of the December mainstream comics, I think I'll wait till Frank Miller's comes out on TPB. I have patience, I can wait. I am really looking foward to December. All the covers for Batman and Superman look so cool!!

If I can afford it, I will get the series as issues come out, but that seems unlikely. Christmas is a very tight time for everyone and I don't have an extra $13 or so dollars to through away on an extra comic.
