Has anyone seen the promo for this? It's supposed be on Fox. Supposedly some prince from a European country is coming to seek a bride or something like that. Wasn't it just a year ago Fox said they'd never do a special like this after the Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire debacle? Yeesh, shows like this just disgust me.

I'll betcha this country is gonna be one of those that cannot even be seen on a world map; you need a close up one...I'm guessing also it's a far east country, since there are still many non-constituional monarchies there...

....this is an insult to women AND royalty!

I would, but I wouldn't want you to go into analyptic shock once you saw it was actually true. :(

Here's how it started:
The screen was kind of darkened, then I saw a bunch of girls in fancy dresses and the announcer started saying a prince is coming, a very good looking prince from europe. So I started thinking, "they got a european prince to host miss america? that doesn't make any sense. i wonder if it's that british prince, prince william?" Then the announcer said, he's coming to look for a bride (to paraphrase). And then it hit me like an angry Superman and I realized television had hit a new low, again.

btw. cool avatar Nightflower, another one of your own drawings?

Ugh...that is truly awful! What kind of people would allow themselves to part of a show like this. I don't know what this world is coming to...

This makes SURVIVOR look like quality TV! And I HAATTTEE Survivor, so that says something about this excuse for a filler TV show...

....and I gotta admit that quote Happyheathen said is funny as well as being true...:D

You know that dude's dad is going to to a UN meeting the day after and everyone's gonna just laugh him out of there. If that happened, I would love to see that. Quality TV.

Why can't people come up w/ creative game shows? Or at least a better way to be in a relationship?

SAID BY OPTIMAL321: Or at least a better way to be in a relationship?

They say love always finds a way...now we've made a way to find love. It's so, so sad what people will do for fame! What's next, "Anyone want to be a multi-corparation conglomorate's wife?"

People may like it now, but I await the day when EVERYONE detests these shows...

"Who Wants To Be On a Game Show?" Where you go on parodies of popular game shows! :P

Hey, it could happen! Or a reality show where people play BOARD games! :D

Most people already do, and that number is growing. These shows will keep going until someone is killed during a reality show.

How's this for a "reality" show:

GET A JOB AND EARN YOUR MONEY!!!

If you get all of your work done by the end of the week, you earn immunity and the boss can't vote you out of the office.

How about Who Wants to Date a Game Show Host?

I saw a special on E! not too long ago about TV from overseas, and MANY of these "reality" shows come from Japan, and the shows are immense hits over there. TV network execs scour the TV airwaves of foriegn programming to come up with the "next big thing" and all I have to say that there just may be worse on the way. I almost hate to say this, but maybe the new war will keep some of these shows off the air if they aren't as upbeat as they want.

Very funny, Joe Tully! :D
Say....with all our ideas, WE should become TV executives! Or at least pitch these shows to them; you know how TV loves ideas that are the stupider, the better.

Any forgien shows not aired in the U.S. that are pretty bad, Calhoun07? I'd like to hear some...

Y'know, I bet the Prince, isn't really THE prince, just A prince. Like, his brother is the one who would actually inherit the throne...But this guy's just..like the little, snobby nosed brat of a prince...yeah...

Think he's as ugly as the millionair?

Remember the episode of the Simpsons when they went to Japan? That "game show" they were on? From what I saw on that special on E!, that's pretty much the every day type of show over there. To be honest, I forgot all the TV shows they showed clips of (and I didn't get to watch the full hour of the special, either, as I had to go to work) but needless to say they are shows more mindless than Big Brother and Survivor, so I hope we don't start seeing more imported ideas anytime soon.

To JustJack's multi posting there...it was a board problem, I am sure. I had problems posting too. Must have been a glitch...his posts all show up as being in the same minute, and that's impossible to do on purpose, as the boards doesn't allow us to post twice in sixty seconds.

So "Thirty Minutes Over Tokyo" wasn't blowing smoke....okay, NOW I'm scared of reality shows. Anything more mindless than Survivor is EVIL! EVIL, I TELL YOU!

;)

Don't worry about thr triple post, JustJack. Happens to me ocasionally....once at the Encyclopedia Histeria board I got a quadruple post!
