Reading Final C yourgod's post about continuity got me thinking. In the STAS episode, "Blast From the Past, Part One," when Lois is interviewing Superman and Mala, Mala says something like, "I just want to help people," and then Lois responds, "Yeah, and I'm Wonder Woman." Wonder Woman? I thought she wasn't even introduced into animated continuity yet (until JL, of course).

No matter how many times people want to bring this up it all comes down to a creative joke by the writters throwing a bone out to the fans during a time when they thought they'd never do JL, let alone WW series.
It was a nod to the fans, not a continuity error.

Think about the name too, it's not really *that* original. It's just Wonder Woman. :)

Yes, referring to Wonder Woman doesn't nessasarilly mean Princess Diana, it simply could mean anything...some people think that Lois is a real "Wonderful" reporter...anybody could be a "Wonder" Woman.

It's definitely meant as a joke and a reference to Diana, but the term "Wonder Woman" could easily just mean a "super woman". I've seen the term "super-man" used in many places when not referring to the superhero of the same name, too. I suspect that this could be seen in the same way, and therefore not be a continuity error. :)

and maybe Princess Diana is NOT Wonder Woman.
After all, the Amazons did not have the Wonder Woman contest for her to win.
Starting with Secret Origins, she introduces herself as Princess Diana.
and the title Wonder Woman is rarely used if at all.
I'd have to rewatch season one but I remember hearing "Diana" or "Princess" but when did she ever call herself Wonder Woman?
Maybe its already been copyrighted to a comic like the Justice Guild ;)
and any continuity errors can be fixed or explained by any retcon fallout from The Savage Time :)

Yeah the phrase Wonder Woman could mean just that, a wonder woman. Diana is rarely called that anyway just once if my memory serves.
J'onn: Wonder Woman is on another case. -In Black Night
