I’m going to experiment here. The preview for the first issue got a lot of attention. So we’re going to test the waters with this one and see how it does. We might eventually have a preview for every issue. For those of you who said you couldn’t wait a month, this is for you!

The third issue is where the story really gets to taking off. It’s going to have a cliffhanger, that I don’t think anybody will be able to guess. Also, the story finally gets out of the batcave. Nightwing and Robin explore the city in search of who did what to Batman. Less then a month away! Expect to see this sometime around mid-May.

Yeah, we had an hours conversation on whether it was likely that Dick's hair would have grown back between issues 2 and 3. It could explain why he has that godawful hairstyle... perhaps he fell into some mutant hair restorer and his hair constantly grows to that length...

Then we decided that was stupid.

The pics on Flash's post are just roughs by the way, the finished article may look quite different!

Awesome! I gotta add, I really like cutting the mullet. That was the biggest thing that bugged me about the Nightwing character in TNBA.

Banning the mullet seems to have been the best idea I've had - not one person has objected! lol. Perhaps that should be a HINT to any future appearances of Dick in the TAS universe.... :D

Okay two mullet lovers - disturbing. ;) Perhaps we should attach a special gif in the of the said grotesque hairstyle which can be added to the pics at the whim of the reader....

Nice to see the mullet proving more contentious than what we've done to our favourite Bruce *dodges Kylewayne's claws*

page 1 is inked, and page 2 penciled. Hopefully I'll get pages 1, 2 and 3 inked and scanned to SK by the weekend.. this is an 8 page issue rather than 6 so it may take a couple of weeks or so to ink... Hopefully we'll get it up in about three weeks!

Wow, didn't think that something that came out decades ago could still be popular! Maybe the mullet seperately is liked...whereas is people liked the mullet AND the Elvis looking outfit he had on with the upturned collar and showing his chest....well...I might have to get evil on you and put you out of your misery. :p As for me...yay, no mullet! The front looks good, and the back does too. And if this issue has more Nighty in it, hehe, then it's easy to guess that I'm eager for it!

Wayy behind.. did the first 3 pages, but only keeping the first.. the others failed upon inspection - so sorry guys.. we'll try and throw some more previews to make up for the wait! :)

Update: Finished my portfolio work today. So for the next three weeks I have my part time job at the library, an upcoming illustration assignment for a London company (ooo! money!!), this and some work for Amber... and nothing else... *dances* so I should be able to get back on track!

I'll get to work on the pages next week. Sorry for the delay.. but the critics had some fair points.. they weren't bad, but they weren't up to standard in some small details...

AGH that bloody Elvis suit.. I recall in Prodigal seeing him go back to it from the Bat and Cowl and feeling soooo sorry for Dick.. he must have cried when he looked in his old closet and saw that number waiting his attention once more!

LOL - that was my first exposure to NW and it wasn't a pleasant one. I really couldn't see what redeeming features that costume has. Bats strikes fear into his enemies.. what does that do.. send his victim into spasms of painful laughter?

Anyway, I've resketched the two offending pages and start pencilling tonight! Sorry for the BIG delay... incidently, the above sketch in the preview won't appear in the story.. once up, I'll post the offending page so you can see how it almost looked! :)

Issue 3 - I'm about... nearly ALMOST half way through. Since I scrapped to pages, I've made them into 3 which means issue 3 'The Monster Within' will be 9 pages in length, rather than 6.. and issue 4 maybe around 12 pages. We'll see. But I've inked pages 1, 2 and 4, and have pencils for 3 and 5. So we are still going strong!

Well I'm ploughing through at a fair pace, however if a page doesn't meet a standard it will be redone, rest assured. I must confess I'm not to sure if the blighted page 3 will work again and may have to redone.. no probs if thats the case.. the inking isn't as strong as I hoped and if I can't rectify on the PC I will redo and hold things up... It will probably be okay - the area in question I THINK will be sorted on the CG stage... :)

Hope to get some wallpapers added to the DKA section shortly. One by SK, SJJ, and one by myself. If Salvor wants to make one, I'll be happy to add it to the collection. Stay tuned. :)

I've redone page 3 AGAIN (third time lucky) and I think it looks pretty good! Pages one 1, 2, 4 and 5 are inked and page 9 has been penciled.. so we're on track again - sorry for the delay! Quality not quantity!

And I've seen Salvor's pencils for the cover! Spiffy!

Silver Knight recently finished the coloring of the first page. She was so pleased with the page, that she's going to make a wallpaper out of one of the panels. Very steller looking page. The background is a mix of the painted look on the show, and the look in the comics. Awesome blend, can't wait till all of you get to see it.

I'm putting the finishing touches to the final page.

We are looking at doing a mailing list. We'll announce the email address to be signed up shortly. This list will just send out an email once the next issue is up. It won't be giving updates and filling up your inbox.

The multimedia sections is still being put together too.

EDIT! Inks for issue 3 are now done!! Just the colours to go!!

SK is half way through colouring. Cover is coloured and it's going to be ready soon!

Issue 4 is in the works and will be a bonus 16 pages - so that's triple the size of issue 2!!!

It's going to be a shocker! :D

The mullet and Elvis costume were okay in their day, actually Dick did seem to grow his mullet in record time when he first appeared with it in New Titans.

The first thing Chuck Dixon did in Nightwing#1 is have it cut, and quite right too!

Back to the comic some evil villain has spliced Bruce and turned him into a freak, perhaps said evil villain could capture Dick and give him hair extensions to restore the dreaded mullet! Or worse yet a shaggy perm!

Oh well here's hoping Tim Drake gets a mohican! :)

A couple of previews to deal with and the front cover, but essentially you should expect to see issue 3 any day!

Issue 4 is in the works - three pages inked and another two being inked as we speak. As we said, this is a 16 page issue and there maybe some further tie developments in the works for this mid story issue!
