ok...question number 1: mutsumo(sp?)....what the heck does "ara" mean??? I love it when she says it...but have no clue what the heck it means!!!

next q: what gender is tama??? in the turetle phobia ep, they say it's a she, yet in the same ep it chases motako cause of her girlish look and in love hina again, shares the little hot tub with keitero...

"ara" is an interjection... it means, "oh" or "oh my goodness/god".

I just figured she was the obligatory cute pet of the show that liked everyone... like Ryo Ohki from Tenchi Muyo. But who knows, I think you might be reading too much into this. Maybe she swings both ways, but I don’t really want to go there, hehe. ;)

Tama chased after the girl cause the producers thought it would be funny. Simple.
Do you watch the series dubed or subbed? Cause I notice some companies will put a little thing on top saying what a word is if the decided to show it in its Japanese form (no idea about dubs. Don't watch many outside of t.v). Just curious.
