DBZ!!!!!!!
yeah..ooo..scary. Anyway...

Welp, DBZ season 5 is well on it's way. Personally, I don't bother with buying DBZ on tape or DVD, so when it shows up on CN, that's the first time I see it. Anyway, how does everyone like the "Great Saiyaman Saga"??

Personally..I really like it. I really do. I just love the developement of Teen-Gohan. He's so clueless, I love it! After being home schooled, & basically being able to use his powers with absolute freedom. But now, he's in public, and has to act like he's in public.
Although...one could argue, wasn't he on TV during the Cell Saga? Wouldn't the world already kinda..know him? Even if the camera exploded before he started fighting?
Anyway. I love his corniness about being "The Great SAIYAMAN!" And how he always does those fancy poses, and then compliments himself for being "perfect, every time!".

Sure, it has a certain Superman flare to it....and a small piece of any sentai series(those live action sci-fi shows..like Power Rangers, Masked Kamen, UltraMan. You know the stuff).

Anyway. It's nice to give the whole "I'm macho, & I'm gona beat in your head!" trip a break. Vegeta, who use to be my fave, just started getting annoying. And I HATE how Trunks looks as SSJ, in saiyan battle armor...just UGLY....

So, I'll have to say that I'm happy with how this season is going. I'd really like to see Piccolo showing up at Gohan's school every once n' awhile.."hey Gohan..do you really need this school? c'mon..lets go meditate...or go beat somebody up. c'mon. I bet if we look hard, we'll find an evil alien or something" ahahaha...ha.....

so..thoughts?

Yeah, it's been funny.

HOWEVER

They didn't show Gohan's First Date!!!

I"m very upset about this.

Luckily, my friend owns the tape with it, so when I'm home next I'll be able to see the ep, but it's still upsetting.

Yeah, Gohan is clueless, just like his dad. But when the battle comes, their geniuses.

I can't wait until the tournament starts.

I'd rather watch the DVDs, because they have subbed episodes on them.

I watch the original Japanese version of Dragonball Z on the International channel on Sundays and Wednesday and get the scripts at DBZOA (http://www.dbzoa.net/features/projectscript.html).

I think that had to do with the whole building on fire thing, considering recent events. I'm willing to bet that they'll show the ep during the second run.

Personally I'm looking forward to the upcoming Tournament.

What I ment was that some of the match's don't take place, after most of the DBZ crew chase after Kaioshin, Supopvitch, and Yamoo. Although the fight of Goku vs. Bejita takes place later (as SSJ2 Goku vs. SSJ2 Majin Bejita).

I just hope they give Majin Buu a good voice though.

At this point I would like to step in as an English speaking DBZ fan. ;) That meaning that all this crazy DBZ terminology is scaring ignorant American fans like me who only have Cartoon Network as the deliverer for his DBZ dosages! :)

But what I DO know is I can't say I'm all that fond of much of what Gohan is going through in High School. Fans such as myself, centered mostly around Batman in the animation catagory, are bitter enough (as bitter as Batman himself, say) to deeply despise anything centering around a "high school" theme.

But it's not as much that, really. A lot have accepted and understood the simularity between this story and that of Superman, but I think it's a little TOO close. I could just watch Superman.

However, I really like the entire idea of Gohan being totally clueless about how to use his powers when he can't do so freely anymore, as well as his clueless attitude about being around other kids. That was all really well done.

I just can't wait for this new tournament to start, and I hope Krillin gets back into shape and much much stronger. I hope his little family will be explained too.

I already knew that the Tournament is cut short due to the whole majin thing. I just thought you were talking about editing.

And I have to ask again, who the heck is Bejita? :p

Well, everyone on earth (other then the Z senshi and their friends) believes that Hercule/Mr Satan beat Cell. As he kept doing during the Cell Games, he told everyone that all the ki attacks and such were just tricks (stuff like they were on wires when they were flying and such.). So they believed him and the Z-senshi were written off as idiots looking for fame. That's one of the things I like about Toriyama, how he shows people today think of people like wrestlers, movie stars, etc as heroes, instead of people who are, like police, firemen, etc

Alot of fans call Vegeta, Bejita. It's to do with the translation from the original Japanese. Videl is also called Bidel by some.

Yep, plus the fact that when the other people went to the scene of where they had been fighting, Mr. Satan was the only one there.

By the way, love the Avatar of Majin Buu, Blight man. I know he turned someone into candy in that scene, I just can't remember who.

Thanks :) . I believe it's from the scene where Buu goes to Kami's palace and eats Kurrin and the others.

hmmmm, I wonder if they'll leave what happened to that old couple in? Most likely they won't, if you've seen it, you know what I mean.

let's clear up the name thing:
1st, in japanese, v and b are interchangable, so both are true.
2nd, the japanese alphabet doesn't have the letter L. it's replaced by the ru sound. so it's VIDERU OR BIDERU. americanized, it becomes VIDEL.

Just to clear this up: People don't think I use the Bidel spelling, do they? I was just saying I've seen people spell it like that, not that I use that spelling.
