Who here owns the Star Blazers DVDs? How are they in terms of DVD quality? I know what the show's about already, but I want some thoughts on the technical issues--transfer, audio, etc,.

Me, of course, I own them. Who else did you suspect? ;)

All the discs are cool, but disc one needs to be redone something bad. The transfer is as good as it can get for an old show, I guess, but doesn't look as good as the other DVDs and the episodes are all slapped together like one long "movie" and the chapter stops are in awkward places, not where the episodes end and the new ones begin, but rather in the middle of the episodes. The chapter stops are relatively useless on disc one.

DVD 1 is the only DVD where all the episodes are slapped together, right? The other DVDs have the opening and end themes, I hope...

Yes, the other discs are the modles they should use to remaster disc one.
