Are the 2-volume "Complete Private Snafu" vhs videos (by Bosko, not Rhino) better than the dvd? I've read the dvd has "windowed" the toons, added to the soundtrack, and briefly displays the company logo on each toon. If the vhs is better, does anyone know the company's website (Bosko Video)? I couldn't find it online.

I'm not quite sure. I remember that someone here said that the prints were in extremely poor and some had a greenish tint to them.

As far as I know, the VHS and DVD versions of Bosko's UNCENSORED PRIVATE SNAFU are exactly the same. The shorts are windowboxed and a small Bosko Video logo does pop for a couple seconds in each cartoon (along with a "Directed By:" line for each cartoon). It's not really as distracting as it sounds.
The VHS and the DVD don't have anything added to the soundtracks. For some reason, the review page at Amazon.com mixes together reviews of UNCENSORED SNAFU and CARTOON CRAZYS GO TO WAR (a DVD that DOES have "enhanced" soundtracks) on the same page. That's probably where the confusion about that comes from.

That is a relief, that the DVD and VHS are the same. What they did was not really bothersome, at least to me.

The window boxing isn't annoying. It's black (not blue!) so you tend not to even notice it :)
