View Full Version : Possible censorship on JL?
I just read these email posted over at cartoonresearch.com:
"The first episode of JUSTICE LEAGUE has alien invaders that devastate earth's major cities. Remember the clips shown at San Diego Con? The Eiffel Tower is destroyed and the Daily Planet's offices are heavily damaged. You think Warners will do some editing of the destruction, or delay the episode even though it was originally scheduled for November?"
So what do you guys think about this? Now, I'm a little uncertain.

I guess that they could edit the destruction. However, I'm hoping that by Nov. all of the execs will stop being super-pansies and go back to being regular pansies.

I've been in touch with a couple people on the crew and so far there will be no censorship for two reasons:
1. Aliens cause the destruction
2. Most cities destroyed or damaged are fictional.
Works for me.

I love you DG..I love how you can reply to a topic, and put down the hard, cold facts, and then the readers can say "This man doesn't lie..I can trust him"..it's just a good feeling..
November shan't come fast enough...

No problemo, man. I do the best I can to make sure we all get the news. And thanx for the compliments. Hopefully changes won't happen between now and November!

Thanks DG, that's reassuring news!

Thank god. I couldn't take seeing a chopped up animated show. You guys do realize this is the last good cartoon we will probably ever see?

I am shocked since they edit everything! :p

I'm glad that they aren't going to edit the scenes in the alien invasion first episodes of Justice League. I've been reading about how the entertainment industry is not airing any shows that have to do with terrorism or buildings being blown up and I was getting worried about the JL pilot ep.
I'll tell you the unusual thing about the whole WTC thing is that fictional books about terrorism have shot up on the best sellers list (which indicates to me people are interested on the subect))but they wont air movies like The Peacemaker (which is about the US fighting terrorism) or Independence Day (simply because it shows destoried citys).

I hope it doesn't happen. Remember, they edited Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker because stupid executives were afraid that it might make kids kill each other.
With any luck cooler heads will prevail. Besides, we still have about two months.
