I still can't warm up to the Green Goblin. I just hate the costume. Ugh.

Yeah, I don't really like that Green Goblin costume either. Maybe if we see more of it in the movie, we will like it more, but after seeing the AWESOME Spidey costume, I was expecting the same quality at least for the GG costume. It's not as good as the comic book counter part.

The Goblin rather resembles a cross between a bug Pokemon and X from Men in Black. Hope Delia doesn't get a look at him in all his gnarly nudidity.
Spidey, however, looks a hundred percent.

Green Goblin looks like something out of "Batman and Robin." (Subtext: Ugh.)

What's the deal with no "threads" on Goblin? That costume looks really bad, but Spidey's is right on the money. Maybe they had Joel Schumaker come up with the nude Goblin costume;)

eh..there aren't any nipples...so I'm cool with both of the costumes.. :D
Spidey rocks..no doubt..Goblin..will take some getting used to..thing is...cartoons look better in spandex than humans...so, you can't very well have the "Dead on" appearance...cept on spidey..they pulled that off..

Wow... this movie is gonna rock. And even if it doesn't, it still looks really cool.
And i guess i am a little unsure about the GG costume, but i'm sure it'll be great in the movie.

Spidey looks legit, very nice. Green Goblin though looks more like a plastic action figure. I keep thinking he's going to move his arms and legs and parts of his costume are going to break off.

Wow!!! Seeing that picture of Spidey makes me like his costume even more. And naturally, The Green Goblin costume WOULD appeal to me, if not for the fact that it looks NOTHING like the real costume (Except maybe for the face). I mean, how hard is it to at least put purple clothing on the Goblin? Man, The GG is my fave Spidey villian, and I was really hoping and expecting the costume to look awesome. Well, i'll probably get used to it eventually.
See ya!

That's the Goblin?! Looks more like Giger's Alien monster. Maybe he covers up in the classic purple toga and hood during downtime.

His is supposed to be CGIed up alot - I just wonder how that'll work. He does look really different - definatly not the approach I think they would've taken.

I'd say that the Green Goblin looks like Cell from DBZ

If we get to see a CGIed Green Goblin with his full costume and flyer, I will forgive them for that lame picture.

I hear they'll be SPAWN-ing him by CGIing his purple suit that he usually wears. I think this is done becuase a cape can be a rathar difficult thing to manuever properly in intense fight scenes.

Maybe this is just Green Goblin's requisite nude scene. :)

That's great! I think the costume will be much better with his usual purple clothing. Now all I have to worry about is making his jet glider look right!
See ya!

www.spidermanhype.com posted pics of the glider and bombs they'll be using awhile back and they looked awesome. They looked sorta texture slike Spawn's costunme. And now that I think of it, I wish Green Goblin's costume had the texture to it that the Spawn movie costume had.

Same point really, Spidey looks great (if a little tiny compared to other adults!!!) Golbin looks, eh well, like a pewter statue found in a games shop.
For better or worse, we will just have to wait and see....

What everyone else said... if he had some decorative rags over the costume it would work a lot better.

Do you look at CGI now and think it looks bad because it's still in it's developmental stage? I think it will look much better as time goes on.
I watched Air Force One again not too long ago, and I remember the final bit with the plane crashing into the ocean as something that looked great and awesome in the theater, but on my TV screen, it looked so horrible and bad. But CGI will improve.

I have seen better pictures of the Green Goblin, and in them, I think his costume looks pretty ill. I like the armor look. He looks a bit too wide in the above image. I still can't believe how toned toby mcguire looks. He must have worked out like crazy. unfortunately they can't do anyting aboot his face, though. It's a good thing spiderman wears a mask. TM is busted.

Tobey said he bulked up for over three months to get the role, and Riami and the producers were instantly impressed with the effort he put forward.

That's great to hear, though, I must say. McGuire putting ALL that effort in is really admirable. Not like a certain baby Superman who said they didn't want to research the part to give the character a "fresh" start.
And what's this about a CGI cape for The Green Goblin? I thought Hobgoblin was the only one with a cape, and Norman Osborn's costume went without it. Well, as long as it looks right I'm happy. I'm sure the movie itself is gonna be great.

In the villian sketches (somewhere in spidermanhype.com's picture archvies), it is shown he has a somewhat tattered cape as well as the purple vest that he usually had. They said the cape would be too difficult to control so they'd have to CGI it in, a la live action Spawn. Hopefully they'll do a better job.
Spidey definitely looks dead-on. Green Goblin looks like a joke. Maybe this is just a bad pic. I can't wait for the movie, though.

I hear ya - this movie is gonna definatly be interestings and very well done. With the stellar cast and crew it has behind it, how can it go wrong?
Frozen

Well, I'm sorry to say I think they both look duff. The Green Goblin just looks wrong, and what's going on with that wierd ribbing on Spidey's costume?
I also think the late lamented trailer was very dodgy as well - I mean, come on, how cheesy was the shot of the helicopter 'trapped' between the Trade Centre Towers? Having said that, I was very impressed with the whole swinging through the streets sequence.
Everything I've seen about this film looks bad, so far. As much as I like "Quick and the Dead" and, to a lesser extent, "Xena", I have some serious misgivings concerning Raimi's ability to pull this off...
I truly hope I'm wrong, but I think this film is gonna suck...
Spidy looks good but the Green Goblin looks like a real life, meaner Cell.

Agreed, Green Goblin doesn't even look LIKE Green Goblin. This armor thing he has going, while attempting to ground it in reality, doesn't work. A phsyical transformation (like the ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN GG) would've been the smarter way to go.

Well, i'll admit that that Spidey pic isn't the best one out there. I don't know the specific links, but there are some really sweet looking ones of Spiderman's costume.

Hey everybody,
I have the banned Official Spiderman Double-Sided Teaser poster for sale on my web site. I will also make a private Ebay Auction for you if that makes you feel more comfortable. These posters are extremely, extremely rare! I heard that Sony is even demanding that movie theatres return them.

I happen to like the "ribbing" I am very impressed with how sharp spider man looks in this movie. I admit I had my doubts in the beginning. Especially since Tobes is in it

I think the ribbing voer the costume would be the best way to work. I can't see just black lines all over the suit working out that good.
