Crossing Jordan = real life?

Did anyone catch last night's "Crossing Jordan"? It was basically the Laci Peterson story (plus 10 years). Does Hollywood know something that they're not telling?!

They do that a lot. They take a story, or part of it, that happened in real life and use it in a fictional show.

I would also like to point out that very little of what I see on that show is realistic. Granted I have seen a combined 2 1/2 minutes (including previews) but still. Being a medical examiner is never that exciting. (And I don't think there is a single ME that has ever gone undercover in strip club to catch a murderer. I swear that happened in the show.)

They most likely made things up, as some of that stuff seems fictional. Hollywood is not usually the first to know things.

You haven't watched very much Law & Order, have you? Virtually everything on its various incarnations is taken from real life.

It's not about what was taken from real life. On CJ, they basically predicted the outcome.

Rather than art imitating life, it was life imitating art.
