Alright today instead of Big Guy and Rusty being on Fox (Thank God!) there was a new Transformer Cartoon. Well anyways, I was wondering if this new cartoon is like Megatron and Optimus of the old series. I would assume Optimus Prime is. The Megatron guy was like really insane so is it supposed to be the old Megatron or the new one, the dino? Well like what is the deal with this cartoon anyways? Can anyone give me history or a story for its like orgin? :)

It's from Japan, so I would say it's not part of TF canon at all.

What you saw today was Transformers: Robots in Disguise, a Transformers import from Japan. It's basically an alternate universe and has nothing to do with either the basic US or Japanese Transformer continuities.

I like your avatar Poison Carley! Did you draw that yourself?

That sucks! :( I thought it was really confusing. So that Megatron isn't really either of the other two Megatrons? hehe they invaded the Digi world didn't they? ;)
Faliure, not it is a Bruce Timm picture reworked. You can see the full picture if you go to my board and look for a post from me today. There are plenty of cartoon pics of me on the board. I just now got a place to host them again so they are coming back slowly.
Ohh and one last thing about the Transformers, are there Decepticons and Maximals too? I really hated the Maximals. :(

 Umm... could you clarify that. Are you asking about RiD or Japanese transformers in general?
For the record I liked the Maximals in Beast Wars (and to a lesser extent in Beast Machines).

I think she is talking about RID.

Well if she's only asking about RiD, then it's Autobots vs. Predicons.
If she's asking about Japanese Transformers then you can see the Maximals vs. the Predicons in Beast Wars II, and Beast Wars Neo. There's also Beast Wars Metals which I understand is just a dub of Beast Wars seasons 2 and 3. As I understand it Japanese subbies think the Beast Wars imports were horribly dubbed.
I wonder what they thought of Beast Machines?

I am confusing...lol No I was wondering if they used the Maximals and Decepticons in RID. Like I dunno, if it does not follow any cannon then we don't really know what happened to them right? Well like in the show intro isn't that the Combatacons? I dunno its been so long since I have seen Transformers.
I watched it today. The plot was a little corny. I like the show a lot better than the last one. So wait, back to the point of this post. Can you tell me how this cartoon started? Did they follow the Predacons to Earth or something?

I honestly don't know much about the plot, because i've never seen it, but i do know about the background:
I wouldn't worry about the whole story and certain parts not making too much sense. Like Mr. Obsession said, it's a completely different dimmension, timeline, story arch, whatever you want to call it:rolleyes:. And the only reason we have it is because American fans wanted to see some Japanese imports since they got ours.
Sorry i'm not much help

Same designs, different characters. They'll be showing up later in the season.

That, I can't answer - I missed the first few episodes! But they might have something up at the Fox Kids site that could answer your question.

I am watching it right now!!! The title of the episode is "The Decepticons." I wanted to know what happened to them. :p
I think the shark, I dunno his name, but him and his side kicks are funny!!! hehe :p
I know they are not going to show the Decepticons...lol I am just getting my hopes us. So in this cartoon they do not tell what happened to them? I kind of like this cartoon. I dunno what it is about it.
Thanks for the help guys. Let me know if you find anything else out. :)
