I gotta pick up comics tho while I'm out there? Any LA residents here know where I can go to pick up comics?

Not often. The image of movie stars casually strolling around LA is a myth. I've lived in Southern California my whole life and I've only seen movie stars at the Friars Club (you have to be a member to get in there :P)

I have to agree with BrendaBat there. I was born and raised in SoCal, and running into stars is very rare from my experience. Old Town Pasadena is a good place to run into celebrities. I live in the suburbs right by Pasadena and if I hear any stories from people I know running into celebs it's at Old Town.

Must see places?? Probably should ask a person who's not from Los Angeles this question :p, and I guess it depends what your interests are too. You'll definitely be in for some great weather. *knock on wood* :D

Spend a day in the Beverly Hills shopping district. If you are lucky, you might see someone. Other than that, LA is just too big to see anyone. If you have 60 bucks, you can see Jack Nickelson at the Lakers' game...

There's really nothing interesting out here. You should just stay home and buy comics there. All there is in LA is muggers and bums and crack addicts.

Actually, it is unlikely for someone to "run into" celebrities in any regular place. As for the comics, a good store anywhere would probably have interesting stuff; selections should not vary based on location.
