The theme seemed to be Warners' Blue Ribbon one-shots, right up until the Avery short at the end.
Two--"Wacky Worm" and "I Wanna Play House" showed characters in a state of drunkenness...which I thought might make an interesting theme for a whole hour sometime. The Jerry Colonna worm was especially humorous after he got soused ("You're inebriated!" "[hic] Put'cher ducks up, duke!").
In "Don't Look Now"--an early Avery, oddly enough--several of Dan Cupid's targets appeared to be modeled/voiced after celebrities of the day.
