Could there ever be another S:TAS Comic?

Well, with Batman: Gotham Adventures #60 hitting stands today I got to thinking. This is the third book to be based off the Animated Batman and a forth one coming out soon, why didn't Superman get more? Yes Batman had more fan reaction because it was the first of the animated series' and it lasted the longest but wouldn't anyone like to see some more adventures of the Animated Superman outside of the Justice League?

I would like to hear your comments, thoughts and theorys about the subject. So...what do you think?

i guess i'm kinda surprised that there isn't. but there are so many different kinds of superman out there, that maybe one more would have just gotten too messy.

with batman it's different, there can be so many different sides of him showed in different books.

I don't thnk there ever will be another one becuase Batman adventures was cancelled and went straight into Batman and Robin adventures, which was cancelled which went straight into Batman Gotham Adventures, which has been cancelled and is going straight into Batman adventures. But I wouldn't mind seeing a mini-series or something.

Considering that the final issues of Superman Adventues sold around 8,000 copies, it's a solid no. I've heard rumors of a few flashback tales in Justice League Adventures here and there, but nothing concrete. There will be no new Superman Adventures series. The incredibly low sales of the final issues were the final nails in the coffin. I was surprised to see it last so long.

It'd be great to see some new Superman Adventures tales, even in one-shots, but that chance is slim, really, really slim.

I think Jim hit it right on the head. It all comes down to sales. The ONLY way you'd see a STAS relaunch is if someone could PROVE to DC that it would be profitable. The best you could hope for would be some additional JUSTICE LEAGUE ADVENTURES specials-- and the ONLY way those could come about is if the montly JL ADVENTURES book had a BIG spike in sales.
