I'll go against the norm and say Batgirl. I mean, look at how she handled Harley in ROTJ without using weapons. And has Catwoman ever won a fight in B:TAS? Let see, in Cult of the Cat that chick seemed to have her shook. Red Claw punked her in the Cat and the Claw. Sure she may have got the Joker in Almost Got Em' but it's the Joker! The Joker has little/no fighting skills. Plus she caught them by surprise and still managed to get captured. Catwoman's not that great of a fighter. Maybe in the comics but not in the Animated Series. Plus most importantly Batgirl was trained by Batman.

Batgirl was trained by Batman.

That is a great point.

I'd say Bats

As much as I hate Batgirl and love Catwoman, I have to put my bias aside. Catwoman knows some karate, is cunning, quick, and very athletic. Batgirl knows many forms of combat, also is quick, cunning, and athletic. Her edge: she's been trained by Batman. Catwoman can't compete with that.

Def. edge to Barb/Batgirl. Pretty evenly matched...yes, but the X factor is that Batgirl was trained by Batman, that's the bottom line. lata

Hmmm...I dunno. In effect, this is basically if they were totally naked and without absolutely ANY help, right? *DREAMS FOR A SEC* OK, OK, ultimately I'd have to say Catwoman. She's a slightly bigger girl, has about the same abilities and amount of acrobatic ability, but has more of a killer instinct than Batgirl does. That's the tie-breaker for me.

In Cat and the Claw, honestly, that 'fight' was just plain ol SUCKY writing. Im not trying to scream sour grapes (I have been known to do that), but I mean, come on ppl, so Red Claw is a lil manly, Catwoman still shoulda kicked her all over the place...and yes, that Cult of the CAt girl situation was a little weird, selina did seem unsure (???wtf??)

YES, CAtwoman should have been a stronger fighter in the animated series, but I just watched YOU SCRATCH MY BACK the other day, and DUDE Catwoman fought awsome in that!

BATGIRL kicks serious *** tho, I still love her, and she can seriously HAUL, re: ROTJ, COLD COMFORT, but Id ultimately hafta go w/ Catwoman ...shes stronger, more Xperienced, and just has better improv skills...Batgirl is all about controlled situations.

Batgirl would kick Catwoman back to the pound.

I noticed that in most of You Scratch My Back. The only reason Catwoman got hits in is because of surprise. Lets see, the guy Nightwing was chasing after in the shipyard surprise, Ricky the Hook's men in the apartment surprise. Catwoman is generally not about straight up fighting, she's about escaping/fighting by surprise. Now I'm not going to say she can't fight, because she was kicking serious booty in Batgirl Returns. But in this situation I have to go with Batgirl for the one simple reason.

She was trained by Batman

yea that really puts batgirl's likelyhood up a few notches, I must admit...but yea I dunno, ur right about Catwoman, shes more about resolving conflict and then running (not a bad idea)

Shes prolly not used to a closed fight......and Batgirl in that training sequence in cols comfort, and then later w/ freeze...

i dunnoooo

the trained by batman thing is a big plus, but selena has a lot more experience. hmmmm. i dunno, no matter what the outcome, it would be pretty close.

well, to be honest, the way catwoman was handled in tas always bugged me. ESPECIALLY in the cat and the claw. the fact that she got smacked around like a rag doll by red claw really ruins that arc for me. i remember when i first saw it and being really, well, confused by it. but yeah, to whoever said it was simply bad writing is right, but it was still her intro ep in tas.

anway, she has had some moments where she showed her skill. she handled dagget's thugs pretty well in "cat scratch fever". and she was pretty tough in "batgirl returns" and "catwalk". but i think she showed her skill best in "you scratch my back".

BUT, batgirl has really showed her ability, ESPECIALLy in tnba. i always liked how they kicked her skill up a notch to show her growth. rotj is a good example, same w/ cold comfort, sins of the father, and a bunch of others. she really kicks serious butt in tnba.

so, while i want to say catwoman, cause i know how I would have handled her in tas, and i have no doubt her comic book counter part could take batgirl no problem, just judging from the fights on tas/tnba, i'd have to go with BATGIRL, although selina would put up a good fight. the only thing i think might give catwoman a chance is that she's more cunning than batgirl. peace.

yea thats kinda what ive been tryin to say but couldnt really put it into words...its not realistic for the whole red claw beating the crap outta catwoman thing to have even happened, and yea that also kinda ruined the arc for me...its just bad writing and bad representation alltogether...either way I go w/ catwoman, I just really hate that fight..it coulda been a nice fight but NO NO NO

Actually much of Batgirl's training was not from Batman, she learned a lot from other sources, what little Batman trained her would give her the edge though.
