Now I haven't read Supergirl since I received a free copy of her first issue, but I'm interested in hearing what folks think about her final issue. From what I've heard, her series has suffered from bizarre origin twists (um...can you say Earth-bound Angel?), creative team switches and several attempts to avoid the inevitable cancellation (Bringing back "Kara" was too little to late). So, would anyone like to provide some thoughts in regard to her run and her final flight? If anyone could provide a more accurate summary of her history, I'd love to be enlightened.

Well im not a regular Supergirl reader, but i have picked up several issues in the past. I thought id pick up the final issue just to see what happens. I really enjoyed it. The nod to the old Supergirl, but still preserving the modern continuity and not trying to reinstate the past were very well done. My only complaints were that the ending was a little confusing. What did Linda do? Quit being Supergirl? And did they ever say who Xenon is and where he came from?

Nothing about Xenon. But it's quietly implied that she stopped being Linda Danvers, too. Her letter reads like a suicide note, which brings us back to the beginning of the series where she was a "nothing-left-to-live-for" satan worshipper.
