Does anyone else watch Colin Quinn's new show? If not, you're lucky. There was this stupid ***** on the show named Sue Costello who basically said she didn't care how many people in other countries we torture and kill, she'll still support America because she's an American and she only cares about Americans, not people in other countries. Now, I'm not necessarily anti-war, but I couldn't believe the crap that was coming out of her mouth. At the end of the program she said if Bush wasn't around to protect liberals free speech they would be shot or some crap like that. And while she was spewing out all this crap no one on the panel was saying anything. God damnit, I think I'm gonna boycott this show.

It's called an opinion. Everyone's entitled to one, even ones that may be deemed offensive. And actually, I think Comedy Central is the last place you'd want to listen to opinions about the war. Someone is bound to piss you off.

From what I can tell from the small glimpses I've seen of the show, at least 90% of the humor is a result of the hosts trying to be offensive. Meaning that there's going to be a lot of exaggeration. You either have to realize it's a joke and laugh at it or not watch at all.
I'm going for "not watch at all," myself. I've disliked Colin Quinn since his SNL days. His take on the news segment just irritated me.

Seriously. It's called an off button. Use it and let the rest of us decide whether or not we're "lucky."

I don't watch the show either. A few things they've said on it have annoyed me too, but more than that, I think Colin Quin is the complete. Opposite. Of funny. Why the show is on a network called COMEDY CENTRAL, I'll never figure out. He's terrible.

When people start disliking a brand of comedy on a show because it clashes with their viewpoints, that's when the show stops being funny, but the thing there is that the problem is not with the show.

The reason I dislike the show is not because it clashes with my viewpoints, but more because I just don't find it funny. But you're right, that's just a matter of my personal taste in what I find funny.

I saw that. I didn't agree with her, but I think she had a right to say what she said. Two of the main points she seemed to make were roughly, "I care more about what happens to people in this country than Iraq" and "Now that there's a war on, liberals should shut up and support the president." The line about liberals being shot was a suggested t-shirt slogan.
Another guy glibly repeated the "Patterson, N.J." lie, about Muslims dancing in the streets in America after September 11. I have never found a source to back this up, except for Zionist Web site links a politically active Israeli posted on another board I frequent.

Just a reminder people, don't stray too far off topic and keep cool.

Yes, she was entitled to her opinion. My biggest problem with the show was that everyone else apparently agreed 100% with her. I mean, I remember on Politically Incorrect one person used to say something, then someone else would get pissed off and say the exact opposite thing. A diverse range of opinions were given. On Colin Quinn's show it seems like only one opinion is given. Actually, it seemed like half the people on the panel have no opinions to give whatsoever. Which is why the show sucks and why it pisses me off.
I don't even watch that show for Colin Quinn or the things they argue over, it's a comedy show with some headlines thrown in to make it seem like it's Politically Incorrect with comics. The only funny people ever on that show are Nick DiPaolo, Patrice O'Neal, and Greg Giraldo, never Colin Quinn and the female comics they get really suck. I'd love to see Wanda Sykes on there.
