Nice.

I like how the promo made the series seem all serious and stuff. That'll make the first episode that much more surprising...

And...

There's a spoiler in the promo, though someone unfamiliar with the series wouldn't notice...the first scene shows Vash carrying a certain cross...

Beat me to it! Anyway, I have not seen this series, but the promo made it look quite good. I need another "space cowboy" anime to satisfy me. And I heard this has good humor too! Interesting.

WS is infamous for filling promos with spoilers, but it if you havent seen the series, youll have no idea what it means. WS better treat this show with Reign type standards.

So, huh, what will the new schedule look like? What will be bumped off. I'd assume it would be Cowboy Bebop, but we all know how much Cartoon Network loves that show. I'd hate to see Inu-yasha go, despite it's numerous plotholes...

I actually thought it had a nice hint of comedy, with the Johnny Cash narrator. :)

Except that it has nothing to do with "space." I don't know why everyone is comparing Trigun to Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star, since it has very little in common with the other two "space cowboy" anime. It's set in a Wild West-type setting with futuristic technology showing up here and there. How is that like Bebop!?

But at least they're airing the promos enough in advance that people who don't visit the Toonzone forums could actually find out that Trigun is coming.

Well, if I were going to be compltely anal like you, I would point out that trigun does have one or two episodes that take place in space...but I'm not, so I won't.

They have very similiar feels, and came out around the same time in Japan. Thus they will always be compared.

So far (though I've only seen 3 episodes) I'd compare it to Ruroni Kenshin.

Anyone notice though....

The announcer seemed to pronounce it Tree-Gan

Sounds like Trigun to me, just with a low, gruff voice. It didnt sound like "TreeGan" in any way shape or form.

I'm glad they're getting rid of Lupin. I never really liked that show. But, uhhhhh...does anyone really still watch Cowboy Bebop when reruns are on at 1:30 in the morning? Is that show gonna stay on forever or what?

I really like lupin and it`s really good but if they`re gonna get rid of a show it should be Cowboy Bebop I mean it was good when it was new and we all hadn`t seen it a thousand times

Oh, and I really like Lupin (and I mean extremely), but it doesn't stand up to repeated viewing. I'd rather see a new show then see the same 16 episodes Lupin two or three more times and be sick of them. So I'm glad they took that off instead of Cowboy Bebop. (which is timeless, in my opinion) I just can't wait for new episodes of Lupin III.

Side Note: Did CN/WS get some new music in the background? I don't recall hearing it any prior Toonami or ASA promos.Actually, the guitar riff at the beginning of the promo is music from the actual Trigun soundtrack. The track name escapes me at the moment, though.

C'mon, you can't see the logic in having the texan guy do the promo? Trigun, is a western (well, a sci-fi western), hence the western-sounding announcer. I happen to think it's a nice touch.

There's that one episodewith Rai-Dei, where he holds up a scroll with Japanese writing on it, and Vash comically waves his hand and comments, "I can't read that."
