From the previews I have seen of this show, I think I like it better than I thought I would. I am actually looking forward to seeing this now, where as before I had my doubts.

In a word: yuck.
The "no flights, no tights" rule that they've instituted is stupid. This is Superman!!! If they didn't want to do a show about Superman, they should have stuck with Roswell (which is essentially the same concept, but with a bigger property attached to it).

The review from Comic Newsarama's Journey into Comics article has sold me on the show. Greg Rucka and Jpeh Loeb both give the show thumbs up, and so does Mike - one of the most difficult comic fans to please. I am totally pumped for Smallville.

I thought WB wasn't stating for a fact we would never see him get into costume. If this series succeeds, it's a logical progression to get to that point sometime, at least around the end of the series. I really want to see this show. I think it will be better than we were expecting.
Did anybody see the Gotham's Creek fake ad in Cinescape last week? Man, that was hilarious. I've been looking for a link to the image to post here but can't find it on the Internet. Check out the magazine if only for that fake ad. It's worth the price of admission alone.

This show can get some serious buzz if handled correctly. WB did a good job with Buffy up until all hell broke loose and WB started insulting the show, etc...If WB can just give the show good treatment, then it will definatly flourish. I am anxious to see the ratings the show will pull in.

Yeah, this just keeps sounding better and better. I think Smallville and The Tick are the two i'm looking forward to the most this season.

Yeah especially with Christopher Lloyd involved, I'm also starting to find hope for The live action Tick. And Smallville might do better than I once expected, but I'm still not sure just yet. I'll probably like it.
