COVER BY: Matt Wagner
WRITTEN BY: Scott Beatty
ART BY: Phil Hester and Ande Parks

THE STORY: A stand-alone story written by Scott Beatty (BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS)! Count Vertigo has a bone to pick with his ol' arch(er) rival, Green Arrow! It's a showdown in the tropics, as the two battle it out on primordial turf. What does a cigar-smoking skeleton have to do with it all?

Books-A-Million doesn't have it but I'm going to try and track it down.

I thought this was quite a good issue. I liked the idea of Ollie revisiting the island. Vertigo was interesting...a little confusing though. The art, as always, is top-notch - Mr Hester always impresses me even more every issue.

Definately a nice fill-in which complemented the Archer's Quest arc. After this crossover mess with Lantern (which I'm skipping), it'll be great to get back into another Arrow arc.

Scott Beatty wrote a pretty good Green Arrow. I would not be opposed to him if he was the one taking over the title.

As things currently stand however, I am forced off of this book effective Green Arrow 23, the debut of Judd Winick as writer. It's unfortunate too—for many months, GA was one of my favorite books.

But I gave this issue 4 stars. A very solid tale with some truly great moments. And boy do I love the penciling/inking team of Hester/Parks!!
