There you are... a new picture of my fav. original series... that caught me into my obsession of writing. I created most of them in 7th grade, and then in 8th started writing in Mead books, filling up 16 of them for this very series...
The one looking at you and smiling is a boy, as is the one hanging off the roof... and no, they don't usually sit around with their masks off and gamble... in the middle of the city no less...
Enjoy... and ignore the mistake line on the red head boy's leg... it looks odd, and shouldn't be there... thanks.

Lovely little picture! I love to see original art making an appearance! And a nice colourful drawing it is. I like the buildings in the background. It reminds me of a computer game I used to play.. love their outfits and particularly those boots!

I like it... Great drawing and layout. I think you should move onto another medium other than colored pencils though (to bring the drawings to life more), but I am having difficulty as to what to suggest.

You mean like computer coloring? Urg... *Hides head*
Talk about your small town girl here. I'm scared to computer color! It's so hard!
Maybe paint... real paint... something I can do with my hands, and not a computer mouse...
Thanks Outlander! I was playing around with some cheap water coloring paint I have, I do some skin color with it, but it doesn't really flow that well... considering that its washable. *Tee*
I didn't care about coloring or even drawing the buildings... can't you tell? Umm, anyhow.
Thanks, be brutal... Be MX! Think like MX... heh!
Thanks SJJ! I try hard with the shoes... glad people aren't hating me for them. I have known some people who hate the big feet drawings... but I guess we all have our likes and dislikes... I just can't draw small feet... I try though...
I learn from Humberto Ramos in my feet art. *Grins at The Venom* The man is a genius people! To draw feet like that man can, that would be awesome.
Thanks for the reveiws SJJ and Outlander.

Oh! I'm not in 7th grade, sorry for the confusion... I wish I could draw like that in 7th... truth be told, I wasn't drawing till 8th grade (serious drawing anyhow) I was writing kinda in 7th... that is what might have confused you...
I am 16 years old! *Hobbles around on a cane* Getting along in my years, eh? And I have been around some Canadians a little to much, I'm saying 'eh'... ACK!
No, I'm not that young... sorry to confuse you... I am a girl, and I am 16! *Grins*
Thank you none the less for the wonderful comments! I love the characters too! *Hugs Peter, Malakii, Val, Jordan, and Elecia* they are my babies! They grow up so fast... it seemed like just yesterday Peter was 14... and now he is almost 17! *Sniffs*
Hehehe, yeah... Originals are so wonderful...

*Grins* Yea! No, I think Storm is really young... isn't he like... 14?
You still are really young! Young and talented Wriggle! I can drive my Buick, so ha! *Grins*
The background, hmm... my sharpie died half way through the picture... I need new ones, so I got mad and didn't focus and just traced the lines in a rush... but you guys probably didn't want to know that.
Then the colored pencils... I didn't care, so I didn't blend, and I never take my time with art... I need to. Or get some lessons... only problem is my parents hate the creativity...
God, I am in three freakin' math classes... honors English (two classes of it...), Anatomy... Spanish II, Band... you'd think I could manage just an art class of creative writing course! Hmm... it's late, I need to run... just ignore my anger...
Thanks Wriggle! Your comments are always awesome to read! Considering you are like, so much better than me! *Grins* Teach me, teach me... I tried to draw a horse... oh dear... lets not even think about that! Heh, I'll stick to people.
You need to draw more for us kid, your art is something to see.

*SMACKS YOU ABOUT* Hey, I take offense to such a crass remark, eh? Noo doot aboot it. :p
Anyhow, the pic looks great! What are the names of all the characters? I noticed the title was "BatThing", and couldn't help but notice that one of the characters looked vaguely like Ra's Al Ghul...maybe I just have Bats on the brain. :p
Good stuff, Casity!

Not so much computer color... And I say that because you should learn other mediums first before touching any of the paint programs (it also help with color and technique as well).
I wouldnt use water color as well just yet either... and I think SJJ would agree with me here. The reason is that watercolors are tough and a little unforgiving unless you have practiced with them first.
Id say try doing those types of pics in either marker (if you can, get the good types of markers and sets) and/or ink. I would suggest Dr. Martins but, again, those are tough at first because they are really potent and should be used with discretion.
Try painting deffinately. You should always try new medias.
I used to hate coloring on computer and I did a little and some came out okay and then I got a few pointers from Delaney and Im ALL FOR coloring on PC hehe
I ink my pencils then scan and color them.

Tim: Child abuse! *Tackles*
Oh come on, this is coming from the greatest colored pencil artist I have ever known? Oh dear... ack! You have no room to talk boy-o! *Grins* Unless you are up to traveling down to Indiana and teaching me...
Outlander: Thanks you so much. Yeah, water color is heck... oh dear... I hate it at times. I just don't like drawing this wonderful picture then ruining it with color... of course I just thought 'Hey, why don't I scan it and then color?' Hmmm, genius.
Yeah, inking. I hate shadding, if you can't tell. Never have liked the stuff. It confuses me I am afraid, but I will try. I use markers... sharpies... but I didn't enjoy them that much, maybe I'll give them another go!
I'll try it out. Thank you so much.
Delia: Someone who understands my hatred for the computer! *Shakes hand* Thanks for the words of wisdom, where do you post your art? I think that I'll slowly gain to it. Maybe more during the summer when I have a lot of free time to learn.
Thank you all for posting... suprised me! I will learn... I hope.

I cant post any of my Delaney colorings and stuff at side7.com because John drew them but I'm so gosh darned proud of em.
You can find them:

http://www.mibhq.com/starboyfinished.jpg
http://www.mibhq.com/HarlIvy1.jpg
http://www.mibhq.com/CrikeyComics1%20copy.jpg
I recently drew something VERY different and very creepy for the March Hare thing:
http://www.mibhq.com/madmarch1.jpg
I did a pencil on yellow striped paper. Blech. I brought it home, traced it, inked it, scanned it and colored it just like I did with the Delaney artwork. Well... sort of, lol i planned different stuff and a different look for this than from say, the Bender and Fry piece I colored.
Right now, a lot of my old pre-photoshop work can be found here: http://www.mibhq.com/MIBArtDel.htm
some of the newer stuff is first. Its still all pre photoshop. Thats why it looks like crud. Some of the ones on the top are pictures I did for people in the style of their favorite alien. Amanda and Chand as JeeDangians and I drew myself as an alien from Zekklom 7 (Zeeltor's Galaxy) hehe. Im really proud of THAT one because I kept it in the style of MIB the series.
Same with a Zeeltor one done in color pencil somewhere below.
I have a lot of this and some really sucky early work at side7.com and my work can be found somewhere there but right now side7 seems to be down due to technical issues.
I suggest you ink your work and scan it and then color on the computer because if you screw up... it's okay! Your original work isnt ruined like it can be with physical media.
do you have any black and white line art of your pictures? I wanna try coloring something to give you an idea hehe

*sticks out lower lip* Well... I *could* drive *my* car (yes, I *do* have one! And it's so *cool!*).. if I learned how to! ...But I'm a lazy ass and cannot be bothered studying.
Truly, in NZ, we can get our learners the day we hit 15. *chuckles nervously* I am one of the few who havent...
I just can't be bothered coming home, finishing all my homework, and then *studying*! Ugh. So... It's just ugh.
Very cool, Casity!!! I like the costumes and coloring over all. One thing tho', the two characters on our left have very similar grey costumes, so it's a little hard to seperate them. Very neat shoes too!
Gee, with all you youngsters in here I feel old. :p

Bic: Yeah, they do. I didn't really think about it when drawing it. *Blushes and pulls on collar* But thanks for pointing it out! Maybe if I use a diffrent shade of black... or gray...
Yeah, the feet... I get that a lot. ANd I like hearing it, so thanks you once more!
Wriggle: Ack, you have a car! You are 15? Talk about a differance! We can't drive till we are 16... we learn at age 15, and very few even drive at age 16, usually around 17! Yeah, I have to study too... ALgebra II test, four book reports (haven't even read one) English tests... Geometry homework... all by tommorow! Yea!
Delia: You shame me! You are so good! I love the feet on it, adore the feet! MIB fan, eh? You are so awesome! *Hugs* You would do that for me? Color a picture?
Sure, I'd love to see that!
I am so busy today, and I am leaving for my sis's tommorow... get outta school and all... so I won't be able to reply really to that untill around wensday or so. I still need to finish looking at your work, so don't go yet. I will tell you what I think in a few days...
You are awesome! I never... ok, I got to go... thank you for helping! I could use the help!
Oh and to Tim....
you asked if they were like Batman *blushes* Oh yeah! I didn't copy or anything, it's just... well.. lets say that the names are: BatThing, Streak... *gulps* Wondergirl, WOnderboy... and get this original one... Nightwing... *laughs* They are but aren't orginal... the names are the unoriginal part... so yeah.
But the rest of them is an original! Hehehe.
Ra's Al Gual... hmm, nope. They aren't that old! *Winks* But its awesome that you noticed that they were sorta linked!
Thank you all once more for wonderful reviews.

Gaah Delia! You are like a pro aren't you?!
I was thinking newbie and it hit me hard! You are a genius at both your drawing skills and your computer painting!
You totally shocked me with the skill you have to actually be able to move from style to style. Very nice, I enjoyed it very much so.
I adore your skys... I know, sounds like I am a freak, but very nice, looks like they are the best I have seen yet. That is one thing about art, you need to learn to make the backgrounds. I keep saying that, and I keep meaning it. You make awesome backgrounds!
Umm, that black and white thing, I'll send it... it doesn't have to be awesome, I am just thrilled that you'll show me! I always have been asking, and it will help to actually see how it is done (meaning the first work, to the last.)
Thanks, and post more here at the drawing board... (You probably have, but I am sorta new here... so don't take offense if I missed it.)
