Which real live people in TV, Radio, Music, News, and other medias and buisnesses do you the up-most respect for?
I got one; Pat O' Reilly-While many other news shows just jump on the "band-wagon"(or whatever they call that _expression.) of what's the popular opinion for ratings, he give his straight truthful opinion, wether it's a popular opinion or not. He doesn't sugar-coded it, he doesn't make biase short documentries, he just give his truthful opinion, and I applaude him for it. I wish there were more people like him on TV.

I agree with you Hank. O' Reilly is one of the best people on TV now. :)

I work in print journalism, which tends to engender certain prejudices against tv and radio in its current state. I guess Walter Cronkite is okay, though. J. Fred Muggs. And a local Eastern Kentucky anchor and newsman who died last year named Tony Turner.
In print, I respect Edna Buchanan, who wrote a book called "The Corpse Had a Familiar Face."
But I despise Bill O'Reilly and everything about the loathsome Fox News. I'm also coming to believe Paul Harvey is the antichrist.
:Edited because I got my O'Reilly's mixed up.:

I think about the only one I have even a shred of respect for is Bill O'Reilly, and even he pushes it some of the time.

Not too many people I can think of, given the current state of TV news (the wretchedness of Fox News, most newsmagazines, sesnationalized local newscasts, etc. etc.)...but let's see:
- Walter Cronkite
- um... uh... that's it. I prefer getting my news from the Web, NPR, or newspapers...
EDIT:
Oops...didn't read the above-question too thoroughly, since it allowed for other media types...so:
Associated Press
Reuters
Molly Ivins (Texas columnist)
Gary Trudeau ("Doonesbury")
Aaron McGruder ("Boondocks")
Tom Tomorrow ("This Modern World")
Lynn Johnston ("For Better or For Worse")
Dan Conley ("Get Fuzzy")
The late Mr. Rogers
NPR's "All Things Considered" and "Morning Edition"
Terry Gross of NPR's "Fresh Air"
Paul Dini
Bruce Timm
Phil Jimenez
Amistead Maupin ("Tales of the City" author)

There is one person in the Entertainment industry that I have respect for... Tom Hanks. He is able to put his name on a movie and make it sell. He is my hero, I have all the respect in the world for him. :) I wanna be just like him someday! ;) :D ;)

Here's another one.
Eminem-A mondern music legend and genius that truly understands that Music and Gmaes does not make vilonce, humans and the choices they make do. He understands the type of fans he has, and what type of crap they go through. If you want to know how well he knows things, listen to his songs like "Sing for the Momment", and "Stan".
