An online petition is not going to save a series that has been dead for over 2 years, espically when all the creators and writers have moved on to other shows to work on (Like Static and Justice League, and the upcoming show Teen Titans). There is really no point for a petition now, since nothing will come of it. Still, more power to you for trying.

If you want to petition for something, go after DVDs. That would be worth your time.
And not at 5 episodes per release, twice a year. Season sets or some such.

Yea, I'd have to agree. Even though I'm a Bat Fan, I wouldn't wanna see BB again. I'd much rather see BTAS and TNBA which I hear is coming back so I'm gonna support that.

Oh, and STAS also...;)

Batman: The Animated Series/The New Batman Adventures is coming back - but only in reruns - on Cartoon Network. Superman: The Animated Series is also returning to the network in reruns. And do not worry, reruns of Batman Beyond will be back on the network soon enough - trust me.

Petitioning for DVDs makes much more sense, as no new episodes will be produced of the above series. These shows deserve better representation on DVD and if there is enough fan support, then WB should listen.

There's no harm in trying. Sure, the chances are slim to none, but I do admire your effort. I'll support your petition.

So while we're at it, let's start a petition to get BTAS in DVD box sets. So we don't have to wait for 5 episodes per year.

i've thought of that, they should release dvds of all the animated batman...that way i wouldn't have to bid on ebay for those vcds :)

just to clear it up, the petition was started by someone else, not me; much thanks to all the supporters

I suppose petitions might show there is BB interest... I mean, they still running of DTV shows.. maybe there is a chance of another DTV BB... perhaps even a crossover one... Ever the optimist... :)

I don't think a petition can save Batman Beyond at this point, since it's been dead for a while. The most that can come out of it is the show on DVD. And even though I think the odds are a million to one, maybe, just maybe a DTV movie. But like I said, the chances of that are really slim.

Hmmm.... maybe we'll get the show on DVD then.

in response to how the petition might bring dvds:

i'm waiting til the WB releases BOX SETS, like Rhino is doing w/ Transformers.

Batman Beyond & STAS would be easy: 52 episodes on 4 discs: 13 eps each, could make it Side 1 Side 2 like the Spawn dvd's

BTAS could be broken up into multi-sets while TNBA gets it's own Box set

if the WB wants my money, they need to make the product that I want. I'm not gonna drop $15 for 5 eps only to have a box set make me look foolish. The BOX is the only way to go.

Simpsons, X-Files, Sopranos, Friends, TFG1, etc....
same goes for Samurai Jack. i'll stick w/ my vhs recordings until it gets the BOX treatment as well. If you're gonna do soemthing, do it right the first time.

Can't wait ( ) for JL Box Sets when the series runs it's course
