I though this would an interesting question:
If You Could Invent an Invention That Could Make the World a Safer (or Funner) Place What Would It Be?
I'll post my idea later.

I would invent a car that would drive itself... kinda like a auto-pilot system for cars. That way I could catch a little shut eye on the trip to and from my parent's house and my place. It's a pretty long drive and far too often I find myself getting heavy-eyed right in the middle of the trek. Anyway, it'll never happen, but I can dream can't I?
A self cleaning apartment would be nice too. Anything gets left out and out of place, and wham! it gets taken care of. That would come in handy! I barely have time to keep my place decent as it is...

Here's one of mine. Maybe a toothbrush that has toohpaste built into it, and when you press a button the toothpaste comes at the head and you don't have to put it on there.
More to come...

Sorry they've already have been making those (or at least something very like those) for decades.
A practical and affordable power generation process that generates power using primarily sea water and desalinates the water(i.e. the desalination doesn't take more power than it produces). Anyone able to invent and implement this on a large scale would be able to make billions of dollars from oil rich countries that currently use ~90% of their electrical power to desalinate water. Though if this was possible someone would most likely figured out by now, but if I did figure out besides the potential wealth there would most likely be a Nobel prize in it for me.
Oh, and the tazer bra.

I was going to say Coffee flavored Oreo's would do all mankind good...but...I'm eating them right now. So...I could hardly invent them...mmmm...oreo's.
How about some massive death ray? That'll do us all some good.

Wow, didn't know that. I'll have to look that up.
I'd want a lazer gun. Unfotunately the only way that would happen is if I had a Nuclear Power Planet behind me.

Well, I was thinking up a new type of flight control system for jets that does not use the standard flight yoke and throttle... But I have not worked out all of the "what if" types of questions yet.

Rather than thinking of something realistic, I will mention crazy ideas. A machine that could do things for me while I sleep, and too many other things. There is really no use thinking about it.

I don't know if they have these somewhere but I would like a ketchup filled hot dog. It would save me the trouble at least. I know I know, I'm on some sort of drug, aren't I?

I know! How about something that does your homework. It can write up those tedious school reports for you. No researching, no typing. You can just push one button and BAM!, you'd have a ten page paper all typed up for you.
Oh, wait. We already have that. It's called the Internet. :D

A cute-o-meter which naturally would only pick up me on it's radar and would be at least twice as cute as any other object.
It could also be used as anti alarm clock device. You know when your alarm clock goes off and you don't want it to? This device sets out a signal that stops the noise before it starts...! Amazing.
.. and cute.

A Handy Dandy Log Puller; just like the one in The Lady and the Trap. I always thought that was the best invention ever. :)
