RIP Yellow Ranger...

I ran into this on Monday and was going to post it, but after Tuesday's tragedy, I had decided to store it in my mind and mention it a bit later...I apologize if some of you wanted to hear this earlier.

Thuy Trang, the original Yellow Power Ranger, was involved in a car accident last weekend. She was 27.

That's a shame. I don't remember seeing her in anything later than Power Rangers. I've seen some of the other old casts though. That's too bad.

That's horrible! She was always one of the good chars in the MMPR series, and she died so young!
Though I never saw her in later works after MMPR either, but then again, never saw much of the original cast in later works either...

Well I know that the black ranger was on a cheesy Nicklodean sci-fi show. And the green ranger got onto some sort of sit-com on WB. The pink ranger ended up on Felicity. I don't remember the others though.

Oh that's terrible! Everywhere I look I hear news like this recently. Not even counting the horrors of the World Trade Center attack. She was so young, it's so unfair.

Yeah Amy Jo Johnson (pink ranger) went off to Felicity. The original black ranger was on Nick for a while, then seen once on Buffy, and the Green Ranger had a disgusting role on MTV's "Undressed." Yick, I hate that show.

The Green Ranger was on undressed? Okay, how do you go from a show with a morality lesson at the end of each episode...to well wrestling matches with random attractive members of the opposite gender I do not know?

BTW: Was she married or did she ave any kids?

Jeez........that's awful. As one of the members of the best PR cast, she and the other's make the new one's look as bad as they are. She's in a better place now.

Amy Jo Johnson is gone from Felicity. I didn't see her at all in the newer batch of episodes. Not that I watch the show regularly...

I noted some previews for a movie on Lifetime tomorrow night, "Perfect Body", starring her. Schmaltzy moralistic weepy teen anorexia drama. Still, for fans who'll watch her in anything...there you are.

And sad about Thuy Trang. It's chilling when someone about your age dies unexpectedly in such a horrific manner. Thankfully she accomplished something in her brief life. Nothing bothers me more when someone I went to high school with turns up dead or in prison, throwing their lives away...and I think to myself that I knew even then they'd eventually come to no good. Happens all too often, it seems.... :(

Aw man. She was pretty much the only ranger I liked, when my college friends and I flipped on the show from time to time.

A quick look at IMDB shows that she was a "masseuse" in Spy Hard, and was Kali in The Crow: City of Angels. I seem to remember spotting her as a villian in some cheesy action show.
