Gundam Series Pulled From Toonami
In light of the attacks in New York and Washington, Cartoon Network has decided to temporally pull Mobile Suit Gundam and 08th Mobile Suit Team from the current Toonami scheule. The Gundam franchise largely revolved around war, which is something the network is not ready to deal with at this time.
Cartoon Network's policy has always been to uphold the stanards set in place by AOL Time Warner, and the removal of such programming just seemed in good taste at the moment. Although none of the series are officially canceled, there are no confirmed dates on their return. In the meantime, Toonami is airing Dragonaball, two episodes of Dragonball Z, and Outlaw Star.
