A while ago, I was, as usual, compaining about the decreasing quality of my beloved Bat-book, B:GA, and Mr. Storrie, in an effort to cheer me up, mentionned that he is getting an upcoming project green-lighted, which may or may not have something to do with the animated Batman. He said that as soon as he could, he would post his news on these boards. Now, I know I'm being impatient, but after all that's happened this week, I'm really craving some good news. So, Mr. Storrie, or anyone else who might know, please ... WHAT'S THE NEWS????

Well, I don't know if this is what he was talking about, but this story was just put up on the Comics Continuum:

Writer Paul Storrie and artist Jamal Igle are teaming on Night & Day, a six-issue mini-series from Lone Star Press.

"Night & Day is a superhero comedy book about a hyper-conservative, ex-jock, part time day trader and an ultraliberal, former 4.0, full time environmental lawyer who wind up bound together through gaining powers from an old high school teacher of theirs who used to be a superhero," Storrie said.

"They're ... well, different as night and day! It's the story of two people who have very different views on the world learning that even someone on 'the other side' can want to change the world for the better. There's action, excitement, humor and even a bit of sexual tension. It's very close to the early episodes of Moonlighting in a lot of respects, but don't expect the characters to be breaking the fourth wall."

Storrie said each issue will have 30 pages of story. Sam De La Rosa is inking.

Night & Day isn't the only upcoming project for Igle. He's also doing a back-up for Image Comics' Noble Cause, re-teaming with series creator Jay Faerber, with whom he collaborated on New Warriors and Iron Fist/Wolverine. The story, inked by Damon Hacker, will see print early next year.

And he'll be drawing a BlackJack one-shot for Alex Simmons and his Dark Angel Productions.

Wow, that sounds great! Something to look for.

Nice. Sounds great. I really like that idea. Interesting idea about adding a slight of sexual tension too, I think. Heck, I ate it up on Fraiser. :) This project sounds absolutely wonderfull.
