I don't think any of the episodes could be considered really scary. But the Batman Beyond episode of Earthmover had some crazy looking stuff going on......hehe

I know that they are not really "scary" but they can sometimes be a little nerve wrenching.

Over The Edge, but only for a first time viewing when you're like "holy crap...she just hit a car?!" That was incredibly freaking for me, I swear my eyes bugged out. For an ep that's scary no matter how many times I see it, Earthmover probably. It was just....scary in some places, the father/thing was just downright creepy. Course the ultimate one that will be scary no matter what, Creepers. Scary for being such a bad ep, yes, but also scary for those dang freakish mutant farm animals *shudders*.

What exactly was scary about that episode? From what I remember of "Unity," it was pretty scary. And Batman Beyond's "The Call" was kind've creepy too. There are probably others but it's too late in the night for me to think of them.

Three words: Feat of Clay

The imagery still creeps me out to this day.

The scene from the episode of Superman: TAS with the mechanical life-sized doll, Darbie, where we saw toyman for the first time was pretty creepy. Having all the colors brownish hues and having it mostly done in sillhoutes helped. Some moments with the joker from the original animated series were sometimes kinda creepy, especially the scene from "The strange Case of Bruce Wayne" where you hear his answering machine.

Yeah, that was pretty creepy. I was really young when it first aired and I was scared to death when he teansformed into his natural form after masquerading as the woman at the talkshow. I was too stupid back then, so I didn't suspect she was clayface.

"Paridise Lost" was kinda of creepy. I think that it kinda freaked my Mom and Dad out. LOL Anyway isn't their supposed to be some S2 JL episodes that the producers said "border on the outright scary?"

I was asked why new kids in town was scary, I guess its because Clark has no idea whats going on. And, it also has the element of the family in danger (although it was cool to see ma kent with a shotgun :p )

and then there were other small stuff like the element of night, and him not having fully developed powers.

Really physically powerful villains have had a strange way of getting to me when they first appeared, and I'm never sure if it's in a good way or not, though I'd hesitate to say "scary." Clayface, Inque and Livewire come to mind. Nothing on Justice League has done that to me, but then again, I'm a bit older now. :p

"Perchance to Dream" freaked me out a bit, mainly because it had that whole loss of control, loss of who you are kind of thing. That kind of stuff creeps me out.

Critters. :p

On a serious note, I think that the episode where Batman is comitted to Arkham is pretty creepy. But nothing out-scares the ROTJ flashback. I about hid under the bed! :p

Yeah, definently House and Garden. First time I saw that episode, I was watching it with a friend, and when the little plant babies were born towards the end, we just stood there aghast, and he finally said, "Man, that's just sick". And it was. But it's still a good episode.

Am I the only one who found the Werewolf episode scary? :p

The Superman episode with Dr. Fate, and the Evil Monster Karkull, now THAT was scary. Especially since Superman couldn't stop the monsters: they were magical.

No episode scared me by any means - but there were a lot of creepy, uber-moody episodes out there. THE LAUGHING FISH is always at the top of my list in that category - what a dark, depressing story that was. I loved the music, too - I don't think the usual hip-hop Joker theme popped up even once in that episode.

MASK OF THE PHANTASM is another good one.

I also have to say that I have found no episode "scary" although I have found a few to be creepy. I even thought that Secret Origins had a very dark creepy undertone that wasn't really utilized by the characterization of the little defined "Imperium". I also thought that the ending of "Legends" had a very disturbing and original twist. And there you have me. :)

Nothing scary, just some freaky ones. Like Return of the Joker and On Leather Wings. Others include Hand of Fate,Over the Edge,Out of the Past,Black Out and the most chiling of them all, Monkey Fun. Just wasn't right....

No I believe he is speaking of DREAMS IN DARKNESS. In TRIAL he is kidnapped by the villains in Arkham but is not officially commited to Arkham. In DREAMS IN DARKNESS he is officially commited to ARkham.

Yeah, I think that is true. It's pretty funny to see all the "excuses" why batmans mask can't get removed, like bane wouldn't do it till he died!
