I downloaded a clip from a website that has a "Porky blooper". Porky hits his thumb with a hammer and then starts stuttering, "Oh Son of a bi-bi-bi, Son of a bi-bi-bi, Son of a bi-bi-bi-bi gun. Ha, Ha, Ha, you thought I was going to say-a-say son of a b*tch didn't ya!" Is this a pranksters joke, or has it actually been released?

Another "Frequently Asked Question" around here. Yes, it is a real clip. No, it is not from an actual cartoon.

Brian's Early Years page sums it up best, on his Video page:

For several years, the WB studio assembled a blooper reel featuring outtakes from their feature film productions. In 1938, the WB cartoon staff contributed to the studio's blooper reel with this short outtake starring Porky Pig.

It's pretty damn eerie to hear Porky curse.

Hm....this is one of those things you probably won't tell about to your friends....but the fact that Porky still says what he did is still worth seeing...

I'm impressed these clips were made in the first place. Was it to throw off a horde of fans for a while, ala the Simpsons in the WHO KILLED MR. BURNS eppy?

No, it wasn't made to throw off fans - in fact it was never intended for fans or the general public. It was part of a blooper reel for WB employees only.

Can anyone else think of times LT characters sweared besides the mentioned already Porky Pig and Bosko scenes?

Private Snafu and other characters of the series usually chanted a "hell" or "damn". I guess since these weren't released to the public.....

Tweety says "I Tawt I Taw a Damn Yankee Tat!" in "Rebel Without Claws". Surprising really, anyone could clearly read this in the closed captioning of this cartoon on the Tweet and Lovely tape...

Daffy almost says "b!t(h" in "Blooper Bunny". Wouldn't it of been funny if he really did?

Tweety does in "The Rebel Without Claws," and this is a direct quote, "I tawt I taw a Damn Yankee tat!" Also, the uncut version of "I Was A Teenage Thumb" has King Arthur, after cutting open the fish and finding Tom Thumb, referring to the cook as an "Ass!"

To be exact it was part of a WB Christmas-staff film called,
"Big Breakdowns." Facets, I believe, sells this on video.

I saw the Porky clip for the 1st time sometime in the '80s on a PD tape of Hollywood bloopers in old movie outtakes. What made it perfect was that they showed just the hit-fingers-and-stutter part throughout the tape as a running gag, ending the tape with the whole thing. Very funny that way.

I have it on tape myself, now, from two NightFlight variations of their cartoon hour. On one, the clip that only has the stutter sequence, the other has the whole thing. Neither did it like the tape I mentioned, but both ended the hour. Both versions of the hour have some differences cartoon-wise, but share alot, too (Jerky Turkey, for example).

Actually this wasn't as daring a quip as it may seem. It was a humorous use of the title of an extremely popular play and movie - called "Damn Yankees".

Nope. The play was first, then a film version, then a revival of it onstage.
