"Characters You Can Relate To"?

Recently, I saw on a Sports Illustrated mag a picture of Bender and a fendbot, obviously advertising Adult Swim/Futurama at the same time, plus advertising Futurama more than FOX ever did (if you don't count that Super Bowl of '99). But, something catched my eye. It said on the bottom "Characters You Can Relate To-- Adult Swim". Huh? So...we can all relate to a sleazy robot who flies to different planets to deliver intergalatic packages? Not the best campaign slogan Adult Swim has invented ("Pushing TV's Buttons" is a better one, even if they censored 'Jesus') ...

I watch that show and I think "God, I woulda done the same thing!"

As for Bender, no. My ass just isn't shiny enough...

i actually think "Characters You Can Relate To" is one of AS's stronger slogans. better than that "Pushing TV's Buttons" thing.
