Hey all, I am having troubles with making a chat on AIM. When I try to make it and click "Send" it just freezes up. And I do not even get invites. However if I use AIM Express it works just fine. Is anyone else having this problem?

AIM is run by AIMPS in your PC. Had quite a few chat room issues of late. I believe there were some last night but I was too busy preying this IMPs of my ears to notice.
*spots an AIMP coming out of the PC and clips it round the ear*
Get back there!

Yeah, me too, but as The Venom said, if there isn't a lot of you and you want to chat very badly. Then go on AIM Express, a neat little program on AIM.com in which you can go online (supposedly on a comp without your AIM..i.e. friend's comp, co-worker's comp, comp at work, comp at school, etc.).
AIM Express looks and acts like AIM 1.0 though. BUT the neat thing is, chat actually works.
I wonder when it actually comes back. I've been searching for some news, any news, about this downtime.

I have no problems with AIM chat going wrong, could the problem be caused by what version you have?

As do I.
But my pal with a Mac (Superloud.) seems to be able to use chat fine.

Massive problems. Crashed on entry to the chatroom, then as I Cntl/Alt/Del it screamed. The PC made a noise I'd never heard and I restarted.
On restart it had partially reset my user area to the factory presets - including removing half my programmes. My files seemed scattered across the drive.
A system restore and everything is fine.
Whats up with AIM these days? This goes beyond the AIMPS...!
