I guess it was supposed to be on this weekend, but now they won't show it. I watched it the other day, seeing as I thought it would be rather theraputic since we go and kick some serious booty of those who destroyed our cities. You know in that one scene, after all the devastation, when the Statue of Liberty is postrate in the bay? The WTC towers continue to stand proud and tall in the background. I guess that's why they aren't showing it.

What surprised me was this episode of The Twilight Zone I saw on Sci-Fi this morning. It was about an actress on a plane crashing into her hometown's park. She sends a doppelhanger to get everyone out of the park where a picnic is held, everyone assumes it's a Hollywood whim but they avoid the picnic anyway... And the plane's passengers are the only casualities because the picnic gets cancelled.
Personally, I'm all for ID-4 to be dead and buried myself. I hated that movie.

I loved it when I saw it in theatres. It got me all pumped up and everything. Then I watched it on video a 2nd time, and it never occurred to me how corny it is. I am thinking of watching it again though, if only I could get it...

Although I myself liked ID4, I agree it's not for the best to air it for now...we don't need any more reminders on the TV. Heck, the fact that OTHER cities get destroyed in the film as well makes it worse!
...gee, never noticed the WTC were still standing in the attack! The irony... :(
